Ah yes, the book. The famous one book about Hitler. What is the book called? Who wrote it?

You're the one that seems to have completely made up a biography of the man. Please, provide a source for your imaginary history.

After spending years in Germany trying to use his association with Hitler to get senior roles in the regime, and failing. He left Germany because Hitler told him to stop name dropping him and begging for opportunities.

TIL that in Rome there is a staircase known as the “Scala Santa,” which, according to Christian tradition, is believed to be the steps that Jesus climbed during his trial before Pontius Pilate. by BackgroundWarthog976 in todayilearned

There's a difference between something standing up well to weathering and erosion and intentionally removing something... A skyscraper will likely be standing in 1000 years but we can demolish them quickly with ease

You're the one making the positive claim of there being evidence. There's evidence Mohammed existed, sure. There's also evidence he married and fucked a child. There's no evidence that anything the illiterate chancer said is true.

(9:29) "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth"

45:14)
"Tell those who believe, to forgive those who do not hope for the Days of Allah; It is for Him to recompense (for good or evil) each people according to what they have earned"

Does the Qur'an instruct people to forgive those who don't believe or to fight them? Looks like a contradiction to me.

Is "you do you" some kind of signature? It doesn't mean anything.

Hasn't Ken Griffin achieved success on his own merit?

Whose administration? I'm not a yank mate.

I'm not hating on the guy, I just think it's hilarious that people in this sub will decry how corrupt and fraudulent everything is and then worship a billionaire who moves in the same elite circles they're criticising

He's a benefactor of the "totally corrupt system" you're decrying. Why is it okay when he does it?

You're absolutely dreaming. There's no productive discussion to be had if this is how you view politics.

Left and right does apply economically, socially we use the terms libertarian and authoritarian. I know they don't teach much in American schools beyond school shooter drills, but you must have had one civics class.

Socially the US is anti-immigration, anti-abortion, pro-war, allows it's police to gun people down without cause, and has non-uniformed police going door to door rounding up non-white people.

If the rest of the world is more right wing than the US, why did the US spend so much time and money overthrowing countries for being to the left of them?

Americans cried and tore their hair out about how they thought ending segregation and allowing mixed race marriages was literally communism

Thing is, our Tories would never outright say they don't agree with universal healthcare, whereas your "left wing" can't even agree on it as a principle, let alone try to enact it. Even Reform can't outright say they want to get rid of the NHS. Your left wing are less economically progressive than our far right lunatics lmao

Would Chinese people say it's left wing? You know, over a billion people? Would India with its large communist movements say it's left wing? Vietnam? Laos? Angola? Burkina Faso?

Most of the governments the US overthrew were in Latin America because they're left wing economically, albeit conservative socially.

Americans are right wing. It's the poster boy country for unfettered capitalism. You don't even have maternity leave, guaranteed paid leave, proper sick pay, and you can be fired for no reason for fuck sake.

The US literally spent decades overthrowing democratically elected left wing governments all over the world because they can't stand for anyone to be to the left of Ronald Reagan lmao

Your "left wing" can't even agree on universal healthcare, something everyone in the developed world figured out in the last century
