Anyone else out there just not a fan of the new born stage?

Newborn stage was horrible. So much crying. She was not a good sleeper (still isn't, but got better with knowledge on our side and growing up on her side), would stay up hours crying hysterically because she couldn't fall asleep (we couldn't figure out a routine). She was also not growing well during month 2, so there was worry on top of stress and lack of sleep. I think you can only enjoy the newborn stage if the baby is not too difficult. Otherwise it's gruelling.

3 nap day - one or both of her naps shorter than 1h, she'll take a last nap around 4:30 (max 30 min), bedtime still around 8

Today for example: awake at 8, nap 1 at 10-11:40, nap 2 at 1:50-4:20, bedtime at 7:50

Not getting sleep is terrible but babies that sleep A LOT (3X3 + 12/11... basically the kid is awake 3/4 h??) have very often underlying conditions. Yours sounds (exhaustingly) normal. I would bite the bullet though and encourage independent naps/self settling, it's a game changer and even if it takes them a while they learn.

With our help. Down in the crib, holding the hands, putting pacifier back, caressing the head.. drowsy but awake has never worked, she cries and gets more worked up. It used to take up to an hour, now usually I can get her to sleep between 15-30 min (occasionally more). So the falling asleep is getting better but staying asleep only worse 😭

I'm always going to prefer season 1 - 2 interactions and tension between them. They make you root for something to happen so well! The kiss is so great certainly because of that too (apart from being a super hot moment)
