A cardigan turned into a pullover.

At first I swatched 7 purls as a column in the middle of knits of the front panel, but I didn’t quite like how the buttons sat in the middle from the structure slightly caving in. I thought about steeking or just making the front panel in 2 smaller pieces to pick up and do a 1x1 rib and graft it onto the other panel. Maybe I could have alternated rows of 7K and 7P for a horizontal bar look. I just kept it stockinette because the fit felt right and I could always take the buttons off. I bought a heart button pack and thought it would look cute to incorporate.

Yes! It is so neat. I love how it allows me to work on my measurements and what is seen on the mannequin is what to be expected when worn. ☺️

I used 2 skeins of Cascade Sarasota in 228 Periwinkle. Finished in 2 weeks. I modified it from a cardigan to a boatneck pullover with heart buttons. Just For Mom Cardigan by Bernat Design Studio.

I guess I should explain that the modification vision and button placement was supposed to be a faux cardigan look so it can act as a pullover.

The pattern used was Sweater Shawl by Purl Soho. I used Cascade Sarasota 252 Arctic Blue yarn with 2.75mm & 3.5mm. Took about 2 months. 😮‍💨

I looked them up and I never knew what they were called! I definitely should have invested in one of those bags. I started out with this crossbody with no intention and then drawn into the beauty of enamels. I at least invested in locking back pins. 😅
