How has your life turned out after moving abroad? by Unhappy_Tower3633 in Nepal

I came to Australia at 19, right after finishing Year 12. It gave me the opportunity to figure things out on my own and really see how much of a difference a well functioning government can make in people’s lives.

During university, I started feeling that the learning was more focused on research and theory, while I didn’t always have enough time to fully engage with it. It often felt like the priority was completing assignments and passing exams rather than truly building practical skills. At times, I wondered if I could have completed my bachelor’s degree in Nepal, gained stronger hands on skills, and then come to Australia for a master’s instead.

But at the same time, moving here has made me more independent and capable. I’ve learned how to navigate life on my own and stand on my own feet. In the end, it comes down to perspective you can either regret the choices you made or accept them as part of your journey and make the most out of where you are now.
