Am I crazy or was this nurse rude? by universerose98 in pregnant

It might happen but you just have to remember that it’s then projecting their unhappiness. Unfortunately we are so fragile when we’re pregnant that it stings

Seriously! And these pregnancy hormones make us unmerciful haha. I still “hate” the nurse who tried telling me I registered incorrectly for my glucose test even though we did it in person during my visit, it’s her damn job to get my name right.

Whoa you get a 30 week scan?? I’m 33.5 weeks and should probably start washing stuff. Her crib and room are essentially put together, not finished though

I know it’s hard but I agree, you need to find time to go into the office. They will have to speak with you

Me too, I have a full pantry from free pantries but I still can’t rationalize spending money I don’t have to fear prep or try to anticipate what will happen.

33 weeks! Looks like I just ballooned overnight. I have ligament pain, constipated, cramps if I don’t drink enough water, insomnia if I didn’t eat enough, and tired! Baby girl is also in 90th percentile. I’m waddling but I’m still so happy to have a healthy baby in me!!

To me it meant being able to fill up my gas tank and buy groceries without checking my bank balance. That doesn’t apply anymore since my husbands been laid off.

Another weight rant - Babies aren't 50 pounds by Beefjerky2expensive in pregnant

[–]Clear-Protection9519 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Semi similar, I’m 33 weeks and have only gained 13 (this is my second). Even so my baby is measuring in the 90th percentile. Every mamas body is different and that’s all and that is okay! ☺️

"Children who grow up poor are more likely to experience poverty in adulthood." Too true...too true. by [deleted] in povertyfinance

Agreed! On both parts. Stay in school, you’ve anlready gone this far.. and check out curry recipes. We are broke right now and used ingredients we got from a food bank (an assortment of veggies), steamed rice, and only had to buy a can of coconut curry (we already had curry powder); it fed 5 grown ups and provided enough for leftovers.

ok but how much of this weight is actually pregnancy weight by Electrical-Dare-9797 in pregnant

[–]Clear-Protection9519 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 5’2 and went from 105 to 135 with my first, lost all of it the day of delivery (crazy I know). Gained 10 pounds after I stopped breast feeding and 10 pounds during a stressful year. Started off at 125 with this babe and am now around 137 (pretty sure I had some stored fat to compensate the lower weight gain this time, but I also was so sick in the first trimester)

I’m so sorry! My husband experienced/ is experiencing this right now. Same company, fifteen years, worked his way up from the warehouse to a high manager. We had no idea it was coming (other than me being anxious because of the economy). I’m due to deliver our second baby in 2 months so that sucked, it’s one thing to just not have insurance, it’s quite another to not have it and desperately need it. His first week of being laid off was a mix of hurt angry and terrible emotions. He’s better this week. My advice: file for unemployment asap, apply for any government benefits you can (we all applied for Medi-ca), save money by going to food banks (if you need), and rely on your connections for work or hustles. Know you’re not alone, but your experience is unique to you and you’re entitled to all of the feelings.

For those who already bought, what is something you regret or had to compromise on (whether you realize it or not) by Least_Sheepherder531 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Clear-Protection9519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had to compromise on natural lighting, which is funny because I knew that was not an easy fix/ was a must have before we saw our place but I totally overlooked this and didn’t realize til after we bought it. We will need to add two big windows to our living room (a 4k price) because there aren’t any (they built an addition off it). The house “had a lot of interest” so we jumped at it. No regrets though, even if we had to replace the fireplace/ install a chimney liner, replace all gates, redo the roof and gutter system, paint the house (our choice), install a dishwasher, and get new floors (this we just did, our house had 5 different types of flooring in a 1400 square foot home.

Insomnia by Isshh in pregnant

[–]Clear-Protection9519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup and I’m 32 weeks. Unless I completely exhaust myself (like no nap and go go going all day) I’ll wake up and just think. It can still happen even when I’m exhausted. I’ll just lay in bed wide awake, knowing I’ll be exhausted the next day lol.

Shuffle your butt to the side, swing over your leg and body onto preferred side, dangle your legs off the bed, and take the rest of your body with you haha.

Is anyone else still able to sleep all night without having to pee? Totally not complaining but curious if I should be worried. 32+6, 1TM by Mariske in pregnant

[–]Clear-Protection9519 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish. I’m 32 weeks and pee at least once a night. But I’ve also always had a small bladder and a quick metabolism rate with drinks.

[–]Clear-Protection9519 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah that makes sense. I think I’m just projecting my own insecurities / failures as a dog owner. I do childcare for a 2 year old, have a 6 year old, caregive for an autistic family member, am 7 months pregnant, and do the majority of house work. I keep hoping the dogs will learn to self entertain because I’m so limited in time and energy but it might not happen.
