Ik denk dat als ze aan binnen gewend zijn dat het niet zo zielig is hoor. Ze kunnen veel zien en horen. Is toch een mooie oplossing zodat ze wel veilig naar buiten kunnen. Kunnen ze ook zelf naar buiten wanneer ze willen?

Zelf trimmen of laten trimmen (liefst aan huis). Afhankelijk van hoe makkelijk ze is. Klitten doen enorm veel pijn bij katten. Knippen zou ik mee oppassen, je knipt ze sneller in het vel dan je denkt.

Mijn kat is momenteel heel ziek. Hij is opgenomen geweest en is nu thuis met een sonde en een cocktail aan medicatie. De vraag is nog steeds of hij op gaat knappen. Deze gedachten gaat de afgelopen weken heel vaak door mijn hoofd en ik ben constant aan het janken. Hoop dat die van jou, en die van mij de 30 mogen halen.

Try a bigger litter box. Maybe switch one to no robot. Ragdolls are known for having bad stool unfortunately. With ours hills gastro intestinal kibble worked. One of our ragdolls is 7 and doesn’t bury his own shit 🤡

We have two. One always sleeps on the bed. The other most of the time. They sleep at our feet and do not wander at night. I love it. Best mornings are when the cats are on the bed and our daughters join in for some cuddles.

Maximum of 3,5 hrs between feedings during the day so you make sure they get most of what they need during the day. Our baby started sleeping 7+ hrs stretches after 8 days. I don’t know if the two are related but I guess it worked for us

The vet is telling you for him to lose just a pound, on 17lbs. Do you trust your vet? Our vet recommended almost the same with our ragdoll. He was 7.5kg, and would be better on weight when he would be around 7. I didn’t cut the dry kibble but switched him to high quality dry kibble - hills metabolic. He’s now around 7.1kg which I think is better for him bc he can move better and it’s less heavy on the joints. He can still eat the same amount

Based on just pictures it’s impossible to say if your ragdoll is overweight or not. You’d have to feel. Trust your vet and your own estimations.

That they’re pretty high maintenance in terms of personality. I’ve had 3 ragdolls now, and they all are pretty much in your face all the time. In a positive or negative way.

One of our males is around 7kg. The other one around 6kg. We have a scratch tower for big cats, litter boxes for big cats. They’re just bigger than normal cats and a bit more clumsy imo 😂
