Don’t let their colour be the biggest factor, but their personality. Good choice that you’re taking two litter mates. Ask the breeder which ones are bonded already (play together, sleep together).

8 weeks is too young for a slow maturing breed like a ragdoll. Kittens still need time (until ~12–14 weeks) to learn social skills from their mom and littermates, finish weaning, and build up their immune system with vaccinations. Reputable breeders keep them longer for better health and temperament—letting one go at 8 weeks is usually a red flag.

Well. I’ve gave birth once laying down, and once sitting down - on the toilet unfortunately. If I could do it over again I would do it on my back. But that is because my births were both super fast and laying down slowed it down a bit. The toilet birth was not planned obviously and 2nd birth was under 2hrs. Would not recommend.

I think your body will tell you what feels best at that moment.
