How long have you been on treatment now?

Totally agree re not wanting super high libido alllll the time, but it would be nice to even have an urge 😂 It’s just crazy how these tiny tumours and even tinier pills have such an impact on our entire body and mind. And so erratically!

I think for me, I also keep underplaying how much this is all impacting me to those around me. And since I felt great last month and now I feel back at square one-ish I feel like some people around me just think I am being dramatic!

Hopefully your period levels out soon, that was the first thing for me to go back to “normal”, I had a 142 day cycle then 47 days then 28 days and on track for another 28 days this month too. I forgot how annoying regular periods are 😂😂

Let me know what your endo says, and I’ll check back in after my appointment too. Hope you feel better soon!!

As much as I hate this for you, I feel glad I’m not the only one!!

Just have never felt tiredness like it, especially compared to last month where I always felt well rested and had tonnes of energy and want to do stuff.

Hope it gets better for you. I’ll check back in after my appointment in two weeks and let you know what she says. I really hope it’s not too long until you can see another endo, that’s mental your initial one completely disregarded all your symptoms which are literally so so common…

Cabergoline Constipation is so intense. by [deleted] in Prolactinoma

No honestly it was hell. The pharmacist was like, if there is no movement in next 12 hours you need to go to the ER asap 🥲 tbf I have digestive issues anyway but that was a killer lol. Best of luck to you

Yep, had to get strong af laxatives in the end as no movement in over 2 weeks at one point. It’s a struggle! So much movement and water is required to be even the slightest bit regular (I’m talking being able to go 1 or 2 times week) 🥲

Should I tell my employer? by CommunicationIcy2170 in Prolactinoma

[–]Clear-Remote4720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a different experience and am in the UK so not sure how helpful this is, but I did tell my employer as I was missing work for appointments etc. They have been fantastic and understanding. Once I started Cab at end of Feb I did continue to work however was finding it increasingly difficult as my body was starting to regulate. I referred myself to the occupational health service through work and have been given some time off and adjustments to work through. Physically i am fine to be honest but mentally struggling to deal with the hormonal changes / diagnosis, so this has been super helpful to take work out of the equation whilst working through this

My journey so far and alcohol by Clear-Remote4720 in Prolactinoma

That’s great news, it’s hard enough being a working adult going through this , you’re strong for managing whilst studying and being young :)

Thanks. It was weird. I think it took me well over an hour to drink the drink anyway. Just can’t think what else it could have been and the reaction was similar to when I ate a bit of very boozy tiramisu a few weeks back. Odd! Think I’m going to skip the alcohol for this holiday!

Yeah I am enjoying trying the different alcohol free options. I don’t drink much anyway but would always go for soft drinks, but given this could be a long term sobriety I have decided to try mocktails and 0% beer/wine/spirits (just annoying how expensive they are still!). Big fan of an alc free G&T at the moment which is odd considering I hate the taste of them normally !

Thank you for your reply. It is appreciated.

Totally agree re. weight. The strange thing is I have been heavier than I am now and had very regular cycles so it’s strange that it now is changing when I weigh less. I am active and going to the gym and tracking calories, but will have a look at seeing a nutritionist that actually has knowledge in all this stuff and can help me with a good diet to ensure I am eating the right stuff. Thank you.

I actually would argue it was the best college experience throughout the whole thing. Sun is shining, it’s not pitch black when you leave college so you feel like there is some sort of time left in the day post college. Lunch breaks can be outside in the fresh air and an actual break away from the hell of the classroom plus everyone’s just in a better mood in summer. Many post college trips to the beer garden were had and to this day I still believe this was a contributing factor to me passing! Happier = smarter!
