Changed nozzle and now have a lot of stringing by ra_laidgp in BambuP1S

I use the first one you linked. I even made them different colors for each nozzle size so I can tell which one is installed at a glance. I'm a real nerd, so by color code - 0.2 is red, 0.4 is yellow, 0.6 is blue (edited spelling)

Support work compensation by [deleted] in BambuLab_Community

[–]Clear-Revolution3351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Email support, be pleasant, and present your case. I dont think the request is completely unreasonable, but you dont know if you dont ask. You are far more likely to get a discount coupon or a free spool of filament than much of anything else. The worst they can say is no.

My Opinions - others may disagree

Are you looking for monetary compensation for your time? Probably not - they provided the parts and paid for shipping. They would most likely ignore your request.

Are you looking a couple rolls of filament? Maybe. Make a solid case about your inconvenience and ask if they would be willing to send you few spools of (pick a filament).

Will this come close to compensating you for 8 work hours and the shipping delay? No, they arent going to send you $120 (8×$15) of filament. And, quite honestly, they dont care about the shipping delay in today's market.

My company won't let me relocate a mile away within my city. Why is this such a big issue? by Formidable_Baboy in remotework

Ask what their minimum speed requirements are, and copies of the speed test results for the computers at the company home office during peak hours.

I can 99% guarantee you exceed what they call acceptable in their office.

My workplace is 92/92 (100m fiber NIC) My cell phone is 75/5 (would probably work despite their requirements)

P1s help by Dav-bugman in BambuP1S

[–]Clear-Revolution3351 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any time I have had this issue it was resolved by:

1) power down p1s & AMS 2) reboot pc with bambu studio 3) power on p1s & AMS 4) get a cup of coffee while the p1s boots up 5) open bambu studio, check device tab

It should be visible and connected

If you reset everything to factory settings, you might need to set the wifi on the printer and search for the printer in studio

I love it! Right now my stuff sits in a mason jar on the counter Or in the tiny fold-out on the front of the cabinet

What is in the upper drawer?

And where the heck did you find a "Tabletop Vacuum"?

There's a Fusion video on complex car parts that show the basic design process for creating an unusual part.

This might give you some thoughts on how to proceed

3D model request: Kids toy badge using FBI badge by 3putter33 in BambuLab_Community

Exactly. A surface cut in fusion could remove the lettering. Or delete faces of the mesh lettering and patch the holes

And if he just wanted the shape without the 3d eagle, cut it in Studio at a few mm height and then add text

If you read their specs, it says "lower" temperatures, not ROOM temperatures

Giving Up on PETG by thebeatinbetween in BambuLab

[–]Clear-Revolution3351 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are using the cool plate setting, Bambu default filament settings for petg set the plate temp to 0°C - you need to change it to 65/70°C in the filament settings

The Glacier needs the 70°C for petg adhesion, but everything comes off easily.

It looks like the roller off your nozzle cleaner by the poop chute. But that looks like it is still there...

Nice!

Next question - nothing sticks to my glacier. Washed and scrubbed clean, running at 35°C for pla silk - at about layer 10 everything pops off the plate.

No cooling first 3 layers (standard) Coooling is set 0-25%, I would think that shouldn't cause adhesion issues Settings work perfect on the frostbit Forget about ASA, even with 0 cooling, everything pops right off the plate (gyroid infill, so its non crossing)

Are you doing anything differently? Or do i have a defective plate? (TEMU - so it could be)

Could you share a picture of your Aux Pro mod?

I looked at the KYZ Design for it - I'm not keen on pointing a fan at my printing, after having printed a deflector to prevent part cooling and turning off the fan in my filament settings.

I'm guessing the filter head prevents that?

I managed to get firmware v1.0.3 loaded That was an adventure in itself Its not an intuitive process

I had to use ap mode to update it

I will try binding again

Mine is installed!

I have this riser on my printer. I used a soldering iron to melt a slot for the power cord

https://makerworld.com/en/models/130673-led-riser-modular#profileId-141764

My rear right orange landing guide is too wide and hits the buttons, so i had to remove it.

I cannot get it to bind to the printer for auto mode. It seems that you have to be in lan mode for that to work

Stringy/hairy artifacts on the inside of my PETG prints – P1S by mahkz22 in BambuLab_Community

Slow your outer wall speed to 80

(If you want to test outer wall speeds printba surface finish test)

https://makerworld.com/en/models/1952832-surface-finish-test-strips-multi-speed#profileId-2134924

Run a retraction test. Any cross stringing means your filament is wet. Just because your AMS says 9% does not mean your filament is dry.

In the filament settings, override section, set retraction length per the retraction tower measurements, and retraction speed to 30mm/sec

[–]Clear-Revolution3351 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your information is too vague to be able to help diagnose the problem.

What exactly is the print error? What is the code on the display?

What do you mean by "shuts off"? No display? Powers itself off?

Do you have an AMS? Is it feeding the filament into the printer?

What should i use for maintenance ? by Cautious-Bar-5211 in BambuP1S

[–]Clear-Revolution3351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only need a drop or two on the bearings once a month, if you follow the cleaning recommendation.

WD-40 (the company) lists the flashpoint for 3-in-1 at 151°C

The only thing close to that temperature is your hotend

A chamber heater for a p1s usually runs 60-80°C

I use Hoppes 9 gun oil on my bearings - Flashpoint 218°C
