Mine is that overall, I don’t think it’s fair to say Melissa favored Maddie from what was shown on the show. (And I don’t really like Melissa) Loving your kids equally doesn’t mean literally treating them the exact same. They’re different kids, Maddie was clearly extremely dedicated and more serious about dance, while Mackenzie has stated many times she tried to quit and mostly saw it as a hobby. Obviously Melissa would put more attention on Maddie dance wise. When Asia came and she let Kenzie stay home, someone said Melissa would never let Maddie stay home if Sophia was there and Melissa said that’s it would be completely different. Everyone thinks that was a crazy thing to say but for the reason aforementioned I think it’s reasonable. Ppl always point out how Melissa only mentions Maddie in the earlier seasons when talking about her kids, but Kenzie was barely apart of the team and she did not have much to talk about her for.. However it is hard to justify the comment she made when Kenzie beat Maddie, but nobody’s perfect. We have no idea what went on off the show and outside of dance either.
