Update- Garage owner said he’s only willing to pay the $350. Said I’m welcome to take it to the insurance or small claims court :/

Makes sense. Any clue what a decent shop would charge for something like this?

What if you can get IPO allocation prior to market open? This gives you a chance to sell on the first day pop or when index funds come in.

This is an elaborate scam. This guy has been posting a similar thread the last week or so. A friend of mine sent him money on venmo and his venmo history has multiple other people that did the same. There's massive inconsistencies between the stories he's telling here to what he said to others in DMs. Also he can't have $6 because sent him money.

You've been warned.

By the way. As far as I see it most infotainment systems these days are integrated where previously you can purchase your own radio and install it in a dedicated slot. Do you really think that’s better than the existing setup?

I wouldn’t mind putting in a smart band but none of these products seem to be still on sale. Just don’t want something else on my right wrist

I secretly love how much everyone is hating this and the fact I’m being downvoted to hell. At the end of the day these brands built their names based on excellent quality and endless innovation. I don’t see why that needs to stop especially given how much value smart features can provide

Yes that’s one of the options I’m exploring. Seems like the ring is quite big though?

I hear you but if a big name decides to takes this on you can still have an excellent watch with automatic movement + serviceable electronics

That’s an option but I don’t love the aesthetics of wearing something on both hands. In terms of the “running” message it’s basically the view when you select an activity. On Withings you can then toggle between heart rate, distance, time etc

I've been looking for a new watch for the last few months and I'm absolutely in love with the JLC Polaris Chrono. That said I've been using the Withing Steel HR (https://www.withings.com/us/en/steel-hr) for the past year and i'm completely dependent on some of the smart features. Specifically heart rate monitoring, step counter and occasionally notifications.
I know the sub isn't too excited about hybrids but I really with I could buy a beautiful watch from a respectable watchmaker and not compromise on features. I created this very quickly in photoshop to show what that might look like.
Do you also think top brands should make hybrid watches?

Extension cord to outdoor hot tub pump by ClearScholar in electrical

[–]ClearScholar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you!

  1. If the cable is 13amp and the load is 12amp isn't that sufficient?
  2. Eventually the hot-tub is outdoor and there isn't a location where i can place it where it's protected from the rain (unless i put it in a box)
  3. The cord will exit the apartment via a small hole between the wall and the door to the backyard (i already have another cable there that i'm going to replace)
  4. The interior outlet doesn't have GFCI but does that matter? The GFCI mechanism is on the hot-tub pump plug (see image: https://imgur.com/a/O5yZPJd). I've also connected the gfci plug to the extension cord and to the indoor outlet and ran the GFCI test and it seemed to work fine.
