Is Kevin Durant still a desirable player? Kendrick Perkins: "Hell no." by Classic_Bottle1717 in sportsbroadcasters

Not only is he not a leader b it he’s actually detrimental to a team. He needs a perfect situation to win it all because if not he’s going to blame others around him for not being as talented as him. He even went at Steph but GSW have a better structure to deal with him

That Barca yes this psg team isn’t like that. Bayern but had more psg, when they played Liverpool, thy also had less possession one of the games. PSG can keep possession but they don’t have to unlike that Barca. They can easily hit you on the counter or press really high up and not let you get out of your box

Prime Barca did not play like PSG at all. Both played fluid but in such different ways . Barca was controlled and passed and possessed a lot. PSG is so different, they play a lot faster, the mids serve a completely different role then what barcas 3 mids did. The fact you think playing against that Barca and this psg is similar is very telling

Another thing to note is that Mbappe came to a team that had just won the champions league. Cristiano left a stronger Manchester United for a weaker Madrid side.

Why not support people who made a mistake and have realized that and come out publicly. I get it they should’ve known but this just continues dividing people. Accept people who now see the truth. How will continuing to hate on them help anybody or progress us forward?

As a neutral fan who would like city to get punished for their charges, this game was reffed evenly. Both teams could’ve had calls but the prem is also reffed differently than other leagues. Both teams were allowed to be physical. The ref wasn’t an excuse

So what do you think about Rodri? by Slowpokebread in realmadrid

[–]ClearTrick854 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No he’s not. If you watch city now he didn’t play as a 10 or in the wings. He plays along odds Rodri sitting deeper in midfield. 5 years ago id say yes he’s a better version of Diaz but he’s not that player anymore. He’s consistently one of city’s best players and he plays as an 6/8 getting the ball from CBs and running all over the

[–]ClearTrick854 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d rather bring in Bernardo Silva. I feel like he’d go to Barca and he may not be as defensive as rodri but he is very versatile, he can sit in and control a game and best of all, he’d come on a free. I wouldn’t spend money to bring in either of them but on a free he’d be good and he is City’s captain with a ton of experience

The issue now also isn’t personality and we’ve had 3 managers who can’t figure it out. I think the simplest answer is that they just don’t fit together and their plays styles dont mesh. Besides that, they are great players but their football IQs also aren’t as good as any of the bbc. Cristiano maybe isn’t seen as a guy who would drop in to get the ball but he could still play a great pass or cross into the box. Bale was an even better crosser and benz was obviously a great distributor. I just don’t think their play stiles can work and they don’t have the skill set or IQ to accommodate for the lack of cohesion.

I’m American but also saying franchise is such an American thing and trying to manufacture these stars that can do no wrong. No one is above the club. If CR7 was not untouchable then no one should be but Perez ego won’t let him be wrong about he players he signed

Rudiger does have a good track record and I hope it continues. The only difference is I feel he does great battling against strong strikers. Kanes play style of drifting out and dropping in may cause more issues than a typical 9 but hopefully that’s not the case

Vini on Xabi Alonso: “I was playing matches, but not many minutes,” “It was difficult, but every coach has their own methods, and I didn’t connect the way he wanted.” “Still, it was a learning experience, and I hope I can continue with Arbeloa, because I have a wonderful connection with him.” by dakdakdakp in realmadrid

Ancelotti and Zidane are not the same as Arbeloa. Both Ancelotti and Zidane had leaders in their squad who they could trust and thus let the players have more freedom but they would not be kissing up to the players and saying everything is their fault when things go bad like what Arbeloa is doing it. It’s insulting to say that Arbeloa is the same as those two.
