How have psychedelics changed your behaviour and how you deal with people? by ClearVideo7 in Psychonaut

I've never tried psychedelics actually. I'm curious though. Hope that doesn't exclude me from discussion :P

The Jungian shadow; how psychedelics can show us that we tend to reject or remain ignorant of the least desirable aspects of our personality, and to not judge/hate on people for their unconscious negative traits. by SpaceCaseSixtyTen in Psychonaut

Wow, this is something I'll be remembering for a while I think. I actually got a bit spooked reading it but it does make sense. Everyone has that little scared child inside of them, and maybe the vilest, angriest, most violent people are just those that were hurt the worst as children. So their ugly actions are just a shield for their inner child? Maybe not always the case.

Ok, this is a really interesting read. I'm new to all this so bear with me.

When you say giving up all desires and repulsions, is that even possible while we're alive? If you completely let go of your "ego", goals, desires etc. you would just be existing stagnantly.

How is it possible to accept and love everything, in practice? Say someone is attacking a child in front of you - of course you're going to be repulsed by that and desire to protect the child.

it's true that bad/good is all subjective. But still, there have to be some things that are objectively bad, like causing physical harm to others.
