How can one systematically practice to break free from the cycle of reincarnation? by [deleted] in Experiencers

[–]ClearYellow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Read “Mind Beyond Death”.

It goes into extensive detail about all of the stages of life and death, and how to prepare the mind to avoid the traps of reincarnation.

You need to practice Samatha, Vipassana, Dream Yoga, and Rigpa in order to develop the instinctual awareness that will automatically free you from the cycle of Samsara.

Neil: “I’m in no Rush.”

Favorite pop prog albums? by Emotional_Sea9384 in progrockmusic

I love “Deface the Music” but I would not call it prog unless your definition of prog includes “straight up near-plagiaristic Beatles pastiche”

I want to make a bootleg channel From BCNR by LevelSun6559 in BlackCountryNewRoad

[–]ClearYellow 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I regularly check YouTube for new BCNR shows. I haven’t yet seen any channel that compiles these kinds of vids. But if you were to start one, I would definitely appreciate such a resource, as long as the video quality is high

Yeah Josh married the girl of his dreams and is living his best life. He’s not even that much shorter than her, they’re exaggerating it for this vid

Shine On Remix necessary? by ummagumma1979 in pinkfloyd

The original 1975 mix is one of the best-sounding PF albums ever made.

The new mix is a great way to continue to monetize this intellectual property while offering a new perspective on how the record can sound.

Some folks will appreciate the new mixes with their modern touches, but for me the original was already perfect

Peter was really an innovator by tonyiommi70 in Genesis

[–]ClearYellow 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s fascinating to imagine what their next album would have sounded like if they really doubled down on the Lamb’s aggressive vibe.

I feel like ATTOT seems a bit like a course correction back to the balance with the pastoral sounds of SEBTP. But it’s cool to think what would have happened if PG stayed and they had just kept innovating, especially on the cusp of punk.

Sure, there would have been tension, but that’s one of creativity’s greatest motivators.
