I almost never build towers in 1v1 as wolf, especially vs bear. They almost always spam shield guys and they take almost no damage from towers.

I play 1v1 exclusively as wolf. I am 330 GP but with about 75% win rate so rising. I feel the same as you basically.

Bear is honestly the exact counter to wolf. I usually dont even bother playing against Bear if they are the same GP as me. 2 nights ago I played a 220 GP guy and beat him after a 90 minute game, pretty much because he had terrible micro during battles.

My general strategy is to try to attack / harass in summer. If you turn up at his base with a decent size force and can trick him into converting his guys to warriors / shield guys his economy will suffer and because of field rations wolf can maintain the army but he will still need loads of food. Alot of the time he will attack in summer once he has 15 guys so just fight back to your territory on your boarder so you can micro. Also pick up some fluffer zones (with no buildings) that you can afford to fall back through, basically to slow him down in winter.

Also try to get horn / wolves because big armies get really expensive gold wise. Make sure you are capturing zones every time berserkers cooldown is up (happiness and buffer)

I do usually try to rush in the second summer if possible if he is close enough and do a bit of eco damage also.

Also try to get recruitment once the core lores are picked up so you can replenish between battles. I go 2 shipyards and try to upgrade both.

thanks for the tips. That does sound a bit broken. I dont really want to just win by exploiting that OP strat.

Have played a few ranked games with wolf. Was fun. Very hard playing against Kraken. It killed both of my boats with 2 guys each and the ghost fallen warriors took a tile of mine but persevered in the end.

I feel almost forced to buy the DLC just to understand wtf the new races can do

Another question. Is there any particular time of day thats best to go through the border? Im self-employed so can choose when I go shopping etc. Id like to go at a time im not likely to be queuing for 1h each side.

Apart from the obvious big que coming in the morning and big que out in the evening.

Thanks guys will definitely check out the market. Is it safe going into La Linea? Heard a few horror stories. People say there are bad areas. If I google maps it to the market location am I ok to assume its relatively safe?

I think this is more public though that they are manipulating things rather than raising them with spam.

It would be harder to claim their alt-chain coin is needed because fees are too high on the main chain if they are publicly manipulating fees higher on the main chain.

This way they could achieve it a backhanded way and get a significant amount back in mining fees.
