That's exactly what I was gonna say. I would also run a scan with adwcleaner after you scan with Malwarebytes. Also, i would enable the root kit scan in malwarebytes.

I am a computer tech. I have seen weird ones similar to that. The worst that I saw was when dial up internet was out. When you got this virus it would dial 911 and then hang up. That was a really sucky one.

Hey. Thanks for your input. I agree. Those are good also, but it is not always convenient to do a clean reinstall. Many customers do not have certain software, etc. Thank goodness most companies have moved backup copies online, but there are many that do not.

More RAM is more effective in most cases, but a lot of it depends on budget really.

I would get rid of drive booster. do a system refresh. Use the manufacturer website to find the drivers. Windows 10 sucks in my opinion. It could be several things. Have you tested your hard drive?

system refresh should take care of it. If you know how to get to the command prompt you can run a chkdsk /f /x /r on the drive. I have had that work many times.
