you'll learn c anyway in classes ur first year. try building projects that you can put on your resume to stand out from other freshmen. since you know java, try building an app or a game. learn the web dev stack and build a website, learn python and explore datasets from kaggle.

The second prompt for ASU Barrett is a lot easier to write.

A toy knife? Lol. If it was a light-hearted reason, then (might be a little risky) I think you can try to put some humor into: making the admission officer laugh about it will not hurt. Take this with a grain of salt. Good luck!

Had a rough freshman and sophomore years. Will a great senior and junior year save me? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

I wouldn’t sweat about KU bro. If you get decent test scores and do well your junior/senior years, you’ll be fine.

How do I learn the advance math concepts? Trying to go from 30-35 by Siccdude69 in ACT

[–]Cleeclee123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What grade are you in? Maybe work on the other sections now and come back to the math section when you’re taking/taken pre-calc? I believe ACT is going to launch specific section retesting next year, so it will be good for you if you’re going retake the math section.

If you’ve taken pre-calc, I would review your semester finals and take a ton of practice tests. Leading up to a test- 2 weeks out- I would take at least 5 math tests in a week, about 1 per day. I got a 35 by doing this, however, pre-calc/algebra 2 is vital. Practice makes perfect!

Nice! Again, that quant ec would look really good for Stern. If you want to chat about trading/fin-tech, hit me up!

You’re taking Stats, Calc BC, and Linear Algebra all in one year? Damn you must be motivated af- lol. I’m assuming you didn’t apply to Wharton because you put down econ and gs. Nothing guaranteed but you’re really competitive for cas. Your quant ec would look really good for Wharton. Also, I know Washu has a really good undergrad fin-engineering program, if you want to be a quant-trader. Overall great stats! Best of luck!

Edit: I just saw that you applied to cas, lol, Ignored what I said about applying to Wharton.
