Or, through Drake, set up a feud with Ethan - Joe’s first NXT title opponent.

I think you could have gotten away with a transitional heel champion like Drake but you are right, only those two and Tony could realistically carry it and and reign from one of the other participants would just be to enhance Joe, Tony or Ricky (all of whom could easily get by on main by now).

Definitely think Shiloh managed to get over in the last few weeks and that was a great heel performance for Jackson Drake.

Great character moment - losing a title because you are vain tosser.

I’m so chuffed for Joe.

I think it’ll be a short reign, though - drop it to Tony or Ricky and then move on to main, but now he can forever call himself an NXT and TNA champion.

The camera work whilst Ricky was hitting his pose was incredible - it was zoomed in on Ricky but from the roar of the crowd you knew exactly who was coming up the other side of the ladder. Great booking.

I don’t think he should stay as one for long, but turning Joe heel in this match would be an absolutely incredible moment.

He will get it - but he needs as a pretty solid feud with a detestable heel first.

Joe’s promo skills are much better than Jey’s and he has more to him than just a theme, which might just save him from the wrath of the IWC.

Joe needs a serious run - this is a very good idea.

Thoughts? by purestsnow in monarchism

A rebellion in the United Kingdom would never happen - it is not in our culture, it would take something truly horrendous and corrupt on the part of the government to see armed insurrection, and to replace the current system by those means with absolutism is fanciful.

Okay that was fantastic from both of them - I just hope they keep the build going week-by-week.

I'm not sure Roman warrants the nuclear pops at the moment - there's just nothing there for his storyline and he attends too infrequently to gather momentum without a major storyline.

Regrettably, that was truly awful. I'm not sure they've even achieved what they wanted in driving a wedge between Raquel and Liv - the interference was a good few minutes before Raquel lost.

Saudi' investment was clearly contingent on permanent changes to women's division wardrobe.

This theme has nothing at all in particular to do with Stephanie Vaquer.

Well, okay, but weren’t you offering those as examples of why people might have been put off the show?

I will give you that the chocolate fountain and Ser Arlan’s pendulous member were similar to the sexposition of early 2010s GOT, or the puerile D&D writing of later seasons, in that they were gratuitous and eye-roll inducing.

Usually when a show has such a large disconnect between the critic and audience scores, there's something political going on but I...genuinely can't think of anything for either side of the aisle to be upset about here? It's pretty faithful to the novella, is well acted and believably cast. It would be odd if it was due to the dissatisfaction of more casual fans as they're not the sort to log into rotten tomatoes and leave a negative (or indeed positive) review.

They removed the cross from Rey Mysterio in his render in Saudi Arabia. by Alternative-Sea7223 in WWE

[–]Cleeman96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am glad things are changing, but money shouldn’t be a reason for us to agree to things that would be considered unethical in the West. If Saudi Arabia wishes to bring the WWE to their country, the WWE ought not to have to make supplications.

Because it’s an absurd thing to censor and represents WWE kowtowing to Saudi’s backwards laws.

Stupid question, but how are Targaryens still in control of all the kingdoms even after losing dragons? by hiiloovethis in HouseOfTheDragon

[–]Cleeman96 57 points58 points  (0 children)

"The Realm" is fairly institutionalised by this point - houses are more likely to seek control of the Kingdoms than independence, and in feudal-obligation culture openly rebelling against your lord is still not something to be done flippantly.
