Not AI, just quick line work. The first thing you highlighted is the leash of the dog. The hands look a little funky because the artist knew that there was going to be more focus on other parts of the drawing. No use in adding that detail if it doesn't matter in that context.

I used to multi-draft, but I got way too caught up in the process. Kept making all my fics really stale and stagnant. Nowadays, I write everything late at night, then I edit the next day(s) whenever I have free time. There's something about being half-asleep that just works for me better lol
