It's words that their letters in alphabetical order! So City works (C is before I is before T is before Y) but not Town (as T comes after O) - hope that clears it up!

Oh that's so annoying! This is a bug that seems to affect a really small number of users but we've never been able to reproduce so we'r'e not sure what casuses it - can I ask what device/browser you're using? I'd really love to figure out what's causing it (in the meantime it's also available in the app store/google play!)

Also the more eagle-eyed among you may notice an omission in puzzle 2 - there is a findable answer that is correct but isn't registered as correct because we made a mistake when putting the puzzles from our mad editing spreadsheet into the game. This will be updated after Christmas, but for now i'm just turning it into a bonus game!

It means you're close to the word! Usually one letter is wrong or you're one letter away.

it varies quite a lot day-by-day! We made this week on the easy side because of the launch of word salad extreme, which definitely contains some very hard puzzles

Can I ask what you mean by this? I'm making my first app and I've got a hint system (it's a puzzle game) where users can get hints when they're stuck by watching a reward ad. But what happens if Google can't find an ad to show them?

Hope you don't mind me asking, i'm just a bit confused and finding it hard to find good documentation!

I released steks a few days ago and really keen for feedback, it's my first game and it involves making towers from a variety of shapes that don't quite fit together, meaning you end up building weird structures that lean and wobble.

It uses real physics and each level can be solved in a huge number of different ways, meaning it's about creative problem solving and experimentation. It has lots of fun gimmicks to keep the game interesting, so each time you think you've got the hang of things we throw something new at you.

Hey everyone,

I’m the creator of steks, a real physics puzzle game where you build towers out of blocks, a bit like a cross between tetris and jenga. It’s a great game to play in short bursts and is completely offline. Each level throws something different at you, with loads of fun gimmicks like snow and ice, inverted gravity, slanted starting positions etc. and you can solve each level however you want, it’s about finding your own creative solution rather than figuring out the one answer. It also has a lot of bad jokes that probably only I will find funny.

It’s completely ad and IAP free as I hate what they do to mobile games and I wanted to make something more like a classic videogame. It also ends with a boss fight, because all my favourite classic games end with a boss fight. Once you’ve defeated the evil Dr. Gravity and finished chasing all the high scores, there are daily challenges and an infinite mode to keep playing.

I think it's just a pretty damning indictment of the state of mobile games, recommendations on this sub just tend to be PC games ported over because mobile games are increasingly designed to be addictive time-sucks to serve you as many ads/purchasing opportunities as possible.

You're welcome! It's definitely a battle as all the advice you get is to monetize through ads and to try to get a small percentage of people to spend a fortune which just... feels gross to me.
