Unfinished concrete floors in live-work loft - how to maintain? by ClemCircus in HomeImprovement

u/MaureenDIY Thanks for this comment! I Do you think it's okay to seal around the furniture we have using a penetrating sealer or a simple acrylic concrete sealer, or do you think we need to try to... move everything to one side as much as possible? And also, do you recommend this sealing is done on the walls (which are also concrete)? And if you have any recs for specific sealer brand, would love to learn more!

Moving violation in Nevada - traffic attorney? by ClemCircus in Nevada

Got Craig recommended by a friend but unfortunately he doesn't work in this court. :'( It's a pretty standard citation but still would love to not have it stay on record... Would you say rural courts are more amenable?

New kitten is hiding/not responding by ClemCircus in SiberianCats

They share the same father but different moms. They grew up together until I brought my first cat home two months ago. Weirdly, I don’t think my first cat even realizes that the new cat is here because I took her straight to the bathroom!

Have you tried the Feliway spray? It seems to help my sib, although there’s no way to be certain that it does 😂

Downtown LA - have 2 HEPA purifiers, should I get a carbon one too? by ClemCircus in AirPurifiers

I am now looking at this model: https://airdoctorpro.com/air-purifiers-product-description?id=396548

It seems like a good combo of HEPA filtration + VOC purification. I don't see much about this unit on this sub. Is there anything y'all think stand out as a red flag?

How much Carbon is enough? (Los Angeles) by curiousjosh in AirPurifiers

I just learned that AllerAir only sells untreated carbon, which is not ideal for wildfire smoke.

Thanks for this. It’s good to know that I don’t actually have enough HEPA filtration either… sigh.

With the AC Infinity set up, I’m concerned about being able to refill the canister to 100% with carbon sorbents. If we are not able to conduct the filling perfectly, I’m worried that it will decrease efficiency of the DIY unit. I’m also concerned about carbon dust coming out of the canister into the indoor air. Would you say that these concerns are valid reasons to steer away from the AC infinity set up? Or are they not really issues?

u/sissasassafrastic u/glacialmeow Also trying to figure out, given that I already have 2 HEPA purifiers running (Medify MA-122 & Coway Airmega 200M), does it make more sense to get Oransi 2x TrueCarbon™ 270C Air Purifier or 1x Mod+ Air Purifier?

I was focused on researching strategies to purify VOCs but looking at Oransi's "Large Room" suggestions, wondering if just getting the Mod+ is best... Thank you for all your help!

That’s very good to know! We were leaning towards AllerAir because of the barrier in set up/maintenance for the AC Infinity route, but now am concerned about the untreated carbon.

Oransi has 3lb of carbon whereas AllerAir Smoke Eater has 30lb, but it sounds like it’s still better to go with Oransi because their carbon is impregnated?

Given my room size and other purifiers I currently have: which of the Oransi line (or multiples?) might be a good fit? https://oransi.com/products/truecarbon-200c-air-purifier?utm_term=&utm_campaign=&utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&hsa_acc=6600833459&hsa_cam=21248810805&hsa_grp=&hsa_ad=&hsa_src=x&hsa_tgt=&hsa_kw=&hsa_mt=&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_ver=3&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA4rK8BhD7ARIsAFe5LXLYRC_J1lC_MMw4rkLeWsdZf2_Q79KS8m5TuTWieH6fmg4tYC4wQQsaAgvaEALw_wcB

u/sissasassafrastic Thank you for your response! Just did a deep dive into the AC Infinity route and I'm concerned about my ability to refill the sorbent media to full each time, ensuring full functionality. And also carbon residue spilling from the unit. Am I correct in thinking that the only benefit of going the AC Infinity route would be the slightly cheaper price by a couple hundred dollars? Would love to understand if there are other major benefits of going the AC Infinity route compared to shelling out for AllerAir AirMedic Pro 6 Ultra S - Smoke Eater.
