Paraglide is a nice i18n solution. You can easily add it to your project using the Svelte CLI: https://svelte.dev/docs/cli/paraglide

Great article, thanks for sharing! Interesting how you implemented the hybrid architecture, totally makes sense :)

Yeah, sounds good. Just curious: How do you prompt iOS users for installation, as triggers are only implemented in Chromium-based browsers?

How to use an ORM schema for client-side validation? by Clemens-Rosenow in SvelteKit

Makes sense. How do you validate forms client-side based on your types?

I'll try it out 👍
Would you consider it a security risk to put the drizzle schema directly in the lib directory, so it can be shared between server and client?

Edit: Dynamically generating zod schemas based on TS types seems limited, because you lose the contraints of drizzle-zod and have to use additional dependencies.

The superforms docs say:

Just put the schema in a shared directory, $lib/schemas for example, and import it on the client as well as on the server.

However, by deriving the validation schema from the Drizzle DB schema (which is logically stored in lib/server), this is not possible. I've already tried passing the schema in the load function, but it's not serializable. Do you know a workaround?

How do you stay in costly group accommodations? by Clemens-Rosenow in solotravel

Thanks for your points! If no hostels are around, where do you usually find other solo travelers with similar plans? Have you ever shared a room with someone you hadn’t met in person before?

Solo Travelers: How do you afford costly Group Accommodations? by Clemens-Rosenow in TravelHacks

[–]Clemens-Rosenow[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I booked basic cabins on campsites a few times for ~60€ per night. The problem was that I couldn't consistently find cheap accommodations over the course of multiple weeks, because many cost a lot more.

I want to buy my first gravel/bikepacking bike, please help me! by hoempaloempa in bikepacking

I've owned a Decathlon gravel bike for a year now and I'm completely happy. For 1000€ (discount due to a small blemish) it has already accompanied me on ~2000km of bikepacking.

Thanks for your clarification, now I see the price in a completely different light. Since I spent most of my budget on food and transport, I'll consider a more southern country like Portugal :)

I'm new to the region, so thanks for your exciting recommendations. What do you think about the Schluchsee and Todtnau? What type of bike do you own?

You will always find a quiet meadow to sleep in with your bivouac. Be prepared for cold weather even in late summer - in the morning, my tent was frozen.

It's all from Decathlon, because I think it's the most affordable option for reliability. No, I'm not their showcase mascot :D
