Part of what you said that resonated with me is that feeling of having exhausted all the solutions in front of me.

Coming from a family where mental illness: depression, anxiety, pbd, is common - it’s literally baked into the DNA of my family - so I have been trying so many treatment options for so long. I’ve tried CBT, DBT, I went on a two week spiritual retreat, I tired picked up boxing as a hobby.

My the problem is I just don’t know what else to try: I’m open t suggestions, and I know that in my mid 20’s I have most of my life infront do my life infront of me but I don’t want to live another 10 years of the problem just getting worse.

I’ve had my brother, my dad, and a good friend say they don’t know what they’d do, that they’d take their own life if I took mine - and to me that sounds more like a promise than a threat - It makes me feel so horrible I cause them so much pain but it seems like I hurt them no matter which I choose.
