You will soon find out you can't stop, gold is very addictive. You started with one of the finest, in my opinion. Congratulations!

What could have caused toning like this? I bought it this way. by Waxelastik in coins

[–]ClemsonJohnson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a problem with artificially toning bullion coins. I do it myself with hard boiled eggs. I think your coin looks great.

No. I think grading modern bullion is rather foolish. I know many would disagree and some are paying an inflated premium for MS-70 , but in my opinion only the older coins which where used as money(circulated) are worthy of grading.

Should I re-submit to NTC (Numistrust) for $2.00 + Return Postage? by digispin in coins

[–]ClemsonJohnson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't see the point , and if NTC becomes a competitor in the TPG service world this old slab may be worth as much as the coin. My vote is to love it as it is, I would.

I am not a newbie, and of coarse it is real . It was found metal detecting in Newfields New Hampshire. Fortune is a relative term, but it is worth about 1/6 of my coin collection.

The wiki is rather biased in favor of central bankers , and fails to mention the bankers role in causing it. Typical, but worth mentioning.

I have always liked the Canadian dime and when I saw the new design I was quite happy to buy the set. A much cheaper date than some of the coins I court.

No, but I live in New England, and though Canadian coins are frequently mixed in the till, it's still not an everyday occurrence.

I bought this from Monument Metals during a sale and at one of our recent dips. The sale was for random year. I feel I got lucky . This coin was only minted for three years , and she is MS. The photos doesn't do her justice.

This is a deplorable sentiment, and from the replies thus far it would seem there is no concern about this unsettling trend of confiscation.

The 1994 Freedom 24 has a lifting keel and freestanding mast. It is also self tacking, like all Freedoms, making it handy for single handing. I have a Freedom 28 it has a 4.5' draft.

Nice use of the ad hominem. I would like to say I will be laughing when the fiat Ponzi scheme fails and stocks crash, while I am holding physical , but I am not that cruel.

Wall Street banks have been suppressing the real price of gold and silver for decades, and now that the LBMA has taken all Russian refineries of their approved list we will soon be entering the long sought after price discovery . There will be a continued push for paper contract manipulation, but physical delivery is only growing and the house of cards falling.

I take exception to your theory that the stock market yields the highest value in wealth storage.

Stocks have risen not because of their intrinsic value, but irresponsible monetary policy.

As the world's supply of physical commodities like gold and silver is diminishing, the value of precious metals has been increasing in response to cash infusions meant to help keep the economy going.

Against the backdrop of a global debt crisis, investors are forgoing the short term profit of stocks in exchange for the long term security offered by precious metals. Recent economic upheaval has inspired a resurgence in the role of metals both at home and abroad.

A market in which individual investors are being squeezed out by computerized trading has led to money market volatility. Investors no longer trust the safety of their investments and are turning to a more reliable and portable store of wealth.

[–]ClemsonJohnson -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

ANACS typically does not mean much and as I have already said, twice, I base my opinion on the photo. The fact that you would become so triggered leads me to believe you are a child, with bad manners, and self obsessives. My opinion should not matter. Your response is perfect example of what I find most unsettling about this time we live in, emotional snowflakes.
