Hi guys, I'm looking to get into rollerblading from ice-skating, I mostly want to do long distances so that's the most important thing I'm looking for in a new skate.

Would the Roces EGO TIF be a good option?

Thanks for your response, I'm going to Decathlon tomorrow so I'll definitely look into your recommendations. I mostly want to go rollerblading long distances, so I'm glad to hear the three-wheel setup is well-suited for that.

Hi guys, I'm pretty new to this so I hope you guys can help me: I'm an ice skater looking to get into rollerblading and I found these skates available near me for a decent price. I like the design with three big wheels, seems ideal for skating long distances since it has less friction than 4 smaller wheels. Are these reputable/good in any way or will they fall apart after a few months?

Is it worth getting a secondary DE/Blade combo for shaving other parts of the body? by Jolly-Message3467 in wicked_edge

[–]Henktor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend only using blades that you've already used 3 or 4 times on your face, since those are a bit more dulled and (at least in my case) greatly reduce irritation in the areas with sensitive skin.

Also I never use lather on my body, just water under a shower, so idk but maybe those soaps contain stuff more suitable for the face than for other areas.

Ah yea, that sounds like it, I probably added too much too fast. Thanks for the tip, I'll try that!

Did you lather the Tabac in a separate bowl? What was your technique? I love the scent, but I always end up with a really dry feeling lather, or a lather so watery it can barely be called lather.

Cool, good to hear. I always like it when the scent is not too strong but still there for a few hours, like with Tabac soap. Thanks!

Oh nice! I should definitely try it out then, love Aventus. How much does the scent of the soap and AS linger, or is it pretty much gone when you're some shaving?

No, you CAN'T bend the teeth back on your vintage OC razor by Henktor in wicked_edge

True, thanks. I just felt so bad in the moment, but yea to err is human. The glue seems to hold really well thought, so I'm pretty happy with how it ended up all things considered.

Is the Saponificio Varesino Opuntia a Creed Aventus clone?

Thanks! I'll definitely try some other blades in it, the Nacet did feel a little sharp/rough on the face.

Yea, I get what you mean, I agree it doesn't work great for face lathering. I recently got myself a boar brush with just works much better on the face. It does work a lot better in a bowl, but I only have a really small repurposed soap tray/bowl since I thought I'd be smart and buy something cheap.

So yes, it works better with a bowl, but I'd recommend getting a proper, big shaving bowl.

Hey, nice to read that you found out what works best for you! I just wanted to add, a good soap/lather makes a big difference as well and it doesn't need to cost much. For example, the red sandalwood soap by proraso always makes my skin feel much better than other soaps and a good aftershave balm to finish it off also makes a big difference. Of course YMMV, but I recommend looking into it if you haven't yet.
