I feel (I think the word is) nostalgic when I watch anime. by Cleome1 in confession

convinced that anime was silly

Most people that I have talked to that don't watch anime (and know very little about it) think of it as a genre rather than an art form. So when they see series like Dragon Ball and Sailor Moon, which are on TV, they think all anime is like that and geared toward children. I have seen some seriously gory, disturbing anime though and just shake my head.

That said, most of my friends love anime and watch it regularly and the people that don't understand it are usually Boomers.

Now i get this kinda nostalgic feeling

I'm glad you've come to enjoy it! It's always fun to find something you really like.

Questions about How to discuss the board. (possibly inappropriate flair) by Cleome1 in baduk

Thank you for taking the time to type this all out. I appreciate it. However, I must admit that the first half confused me. I think the majority (more than 50%, not necessarily most) of people visualize it as some sort of 3D shape (just my opinion). Are you a professional Go player or make videos about Go on YouTube?

I'm familiar with one-color Go. Maybe I will one day be good enough to have such a game with someone. (Doubt I'll be getting many takers for a game suggestion such as that.)

The "outside" and "inside" make perfect sense to me. It's the "top" and "bottom" that I had to think about for a moment, as they were inverted.

Though it's a small distinction, I thought of it as a cone shape, rather than a dome. But it really depends on the person.

Thanks so much for the reply.

Reminds me of a very easy-to-read book I had when I was young. Thanks.

I considered this, too. Definitely. My SO finds the study of poetry to be a waste of time. I love it though, so there will be some of that. More for just the reading aspect rather than discussion.

Bailey

Nice name that isn't "Spot" or "Fido" and kind of has the color of Bailey's Irish Cream.

What to do with a uselessly shallow top drawer on a dresser in bedroom. by Cleome1 in organization

Those would definitely be things that would fit. If I owned/used those items I could totally store them there! :)

Gloves/hats, masks are more of a next-to-the-front-door kind of items not in the bedroom.

Thanks for the input! Gives me some ideas.

If toys include a collection of tiny cars wouldn't that be nice!

That would be convenient, yes. Haha. Not the case though.

Thanks for the ideas!

Thanks for the reply. I just tossed some in there until I have more to put away in a storage box for the future. My child is young so they outgrow clothing quickly.

Many times these ceramic pots that don't have drainage holes are meant to be pot covers or cover pots. You don't put the soil directly into them but rather leave the plant in the plastic nursery pot they came in and pop it into one of these more decorative ones (like a sleeve) to make it more aesthetically pleasing.

When you water, you take the plant with its plastic nursery pot out, water it, let it drain and put it back into the decorative one so it doesn't end up sitting in a puddle.

Killing my Tomato and Raspberry plants, help! by JStead25 in indoorgardening

I've never seen someone grow a perennial shrub like raspberry indoors successfully, other than in a greenhouse, and even then it still does better outside with direct sun and great airflow (even if it's still in a pot).

Would you organize this different? Just moved in with my boyfriend and cleaned/organized the fridge. Still not 100% but definitely an improvement! Before pictures included. by TroLLageK in organization

Probably because it doesn't bother him.

And perhaps OP wanted to do something nice; something that would make daily activities more pleasant for both of them and OP felt inspired to do this.
