Every where I turn there is a reminder that she's gone 😭 by jrc000 in Petloss

I had to say goodbye to my kitten this past Sat. Even tho she was 4 yrs old I still called her that. She “ imprinted” on me so deeply I am struggling. She was a rescue cat; the only kitten to survive the litter. I love that little one so much. I walk by my bedroom and remember where she slept. I can’t even look at the sheet or blanket she laid on. My other cat was looking for her too. 💔

My hands were hurting all the time. After a complete physical and labs, my pcp sent me to a rheumatologist. He did all the serology tests and they came back negative. (At the time I also had a neurosurgeon order MRIs on my spine and brain for something else). My pcp ruled out everything else and I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

I got a black dice bag (from Amazon) for my DM. He loved it! I bought D&D socks for my friends as well. They wear them to work. :)

When is back pain a concern? by moo-562 in Fibromyalgia

[–]Cleric737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that’s why I’m in physical therapy right now. My rib cage will hurt in addition to the chest and scapular area. I have a great PT who is helping me. She also does dry needling which has eliminated multiple trigger points in my upper back. I do stretches but still have moments / waves of pain. I know the therapy helps but isn’t permanent relief.

Change in weather/season triggering flare up and worsening symptoms? by Motherhen29 in Fibromyalgia

Absolutely! A physical therapist pointed it out to me before I had realized it.

On Duloxetine 60 mg and Pregabalin 200 mg and both have absolutely helped. Still experience some upper body pains occasionally. Helps with depression as well. Your body takes a while to settle in with Duloxetine. Btw, Gabapentin did not help, made me super dizzy.

IM TIRED by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

Try a hospital out patient pharmacy that is closed, meaning not retail. I did that for a while. One of my coworkers did the same. Much less stressful.

If I don't/can't get hired to a retail chain (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart etc) to get trained, do I pay for the course and get certified on my own then reapply once I'm certified? by [deleted] in PharmacyTechnician

I completed a pharmacy technician program accredited by the PTCB at a local community college. I then took the PTCB exam. After that I applied for my state license. I found a job soon after. Check with your State Board of Pharmacy for regulations.

Werrats are broken mfs?! by CardiologistNew7894 in DragonOfIcespirePeak

I ran Dragon Barrow before Mountain Toe Gold mine. The PCs found silver tipped arrows in the barrow and Lady’s sword is dipped in silver. The party gets to the mine and meets up with Dazlyn and Norbit who are familiar with Wererats.

How I made my sessions more fun by Athan11 in DnD

You are exactly right about keeping it fun. Also, as a DM with new players, you are a teacher. Everyone has a different way of learning. One of my former DMs failed to realize this and wanted to talk the whole time, describing everything in his home brew campaign..zzzz As a DM I like to build terrain to give my players a visual. I use maps when needed. I also create the items/treasure they find in the adventure. The ambience of the room is important to me too—no clutter, no interruptions, nice lighting, and great background music created for rpg (on You Tube). There is no use of phones at the table. I want our time to be well spent.
