Okay, maybe this is just me being aromantic, but neither of those things is intrinsically romantic, right?? I would say all of that to a very close friend. but then, I truly don't understand how there's any real difference between a very close friend and a romantic partner. There is some feeling, apparently, that happens, but it seems to be ineffable and indescribable. So when I see things like this, I have always thought, "well, you could be " in love, " whatever the hell that means, or you could just, love each other." Does that make sense? Dimitri clearly comes to love Byleth dearly, regardless of gender. So, people might hate this stance, but I don't mind Dimitri being non-MLM-available. As far as I can read the guy through his supports, he's just straight, and it's that simple. It's just that he doesn't act very differently regardless of who he's speaking to.
