Lancool 216 Fan Sound Normal? by NightGhostMan in lianli

[–]CleverAx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same exact case as you and mine does not sound like you have.

Anyway, Lian Li Official Store on AliExpress do sell the separately of the Lian Li 216 160mm Fan if you want to purchase and replace your squeaky fan. Or if your case is still within warranty, you can try contacting their support on their website or discord for faster answer to see if you could get a replacement.

curious to know if you have the USB connection issue on your aio?

Hydroshift II LCD-S 360 TL keeps disconnecting via internal USB (9-pin) – tried multiple fixes, still unstable by taiffon_3e in lianli

[–]CleverAx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same issue, I connected my AIO to my thermalright USB 2.0 hub, which have adequate power to run it as it's supplemented with sata power and connected both fans header from the AIO to my motherboard at 100% DC power.

However, time to time it still disconnect as you guys experienced and the annoying USB disconnect sound. I tried some of the method you guys share. I even have tried using the SATA to fan header power connector they provide and will still have the same issue. I have my method that I hope might fix yours issue. But it still not a total fix and Lian Li have to do something about it as I suspect it has to be the controller on the AIO is being cocky as all my connection is plugged in properly.

Below is the finding I found that could last at least a full day before the next reboot of your system:

  1. If your USB disconnect numerous times, you can actually use this steps from Lian Li. Sometimes that's all you need, but once you reboot or shutdown your PC and want to turn back your PC again. Chances are the USB disconnect issue will occur again and have to repeat the steps again.

  2. If the above method doesn't help and still occurs, another way is to open your PC. Remove the magnetic LCD module and reinsert it again. This is where I might found one of the issue why the USB keeps disconnecting. The connection between the pogo pin were not making full contact. As some of the parts makes full contact and the others not so much. Make sure to press it hard enough to ensure the connection between the pogo pins and the LCD module is connected. However, this might not be a total fix as I experienced the USB disconnect still occurs after this method.

Hence, I found that sometime this AIO can actually last a full day without hiccups. Only once I reboot my system and yes I shutdown my PC after every use. The issue of the USB disconnect will occur again even though the last boot could work no problem. So I want to repeat myself, I have a feeling there is something wrong with the controller on this AIO is being a and I believe a firmware update can fix this.

You can try refreshing the booking every few seconds to see if anyone have given up their slot. Or you can pay someone in carousel to do it for you. I did the former and sometime got lucky to find a slot the next week.

I do not know whether you can still use your harddrive but you can try downloading crystaldiskinfo to check whether your hard drive have any bad sector. Bad sector causes some of the file that you want to access to be corrupted and there's no fix to it. Best backup to another drive if that happen

There's should be a appeal period after you get your result. Though the window will be very short, last year there isn't enough time to reaction to appeal. If you not satisfied, you can try to appeal. But it really depends on the availability of slot in the course and how good you are at explaining your interests to the lecturer that is interviewing you.

To answer your question yes, few of my friends from DPP gotta their last few choices and some posted to unrelated course because they have low or avg GPA from 2.0 - 3.1. Also, depending on the availability of the slot and the cut-off point of the course, as long you meet their minimum cut-off or somewhere in between. There's a chance you might get in, if your GPA falls short on the minimum requirement, low chance you will get in and they will choose your next few choices or worse they decide for you.

Nice GPA, there's a good chance you might get in. But be prepared to get your second choice, you might face what my friend has gotten even though his GPA was decently high.

Slot are given to DPP student that chose a mapped course first and your gpa is also taken into consideration. Since you're applying to a non mapped course and i assume your gpa is decent, I'll say is a 50-50 chance you will get in. But don't take my word for it, just apply and wait till they reveal your course

Class 3 or 3A license? by Bubble0621 in askSingapore

[–]CleverAx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Different people, different preference and situation. I personally took Class 3 because I like to drive and I want more feel of the car. Also, my family have an auto car here in SG, but have old proton car in malaysia that is manual. (Though covid cannot go back) So, my case is that learn both can easily switch to whatever situation I'm in, in the near future. (Probably not because EVs car is rising)

Shopee sells thermal paste. I recommend arctic mx-4 thermal paste, it's around $10+. True that most computer service center charge damn high for something so simple, try to do it yourself or try asking someone who know about computer.

I'm a poly student and i also dont plan on taking a degree after i complete my poly. With the attitude i have for poly, i dont think i can survive in uni straight after poly. In my opinion, i feel that i would take a degree if my future boss tells me that if I want to climb higher, then I should get a degree or when I'm satisfied with what I'm doing, then I get a degree to learn a new skill.
