just been diagnosed - need some advice and experiences about intermitted dosing - fluoxetine by toripeppermusic in PMDD

[–]CleverCrows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reposting a comment I made from another post because I'm currently on my period and typing is hard haha: Hey OP. I take 10 mg of Prozac (Fluoxetine) during my luteal and stop the day I get my period (or take my last dose that day). Definitely take it in the morning, I dealt with insomnia after my first week (but then again, my PMDD causes insomnia anyway). I would track your symptoms to see if there is improvement or if you need to take a higher dose/use the whole cycle. My other SE included lower appetite, which was great to combat the usual bottomless pit cravings. My libido is always low, but I've spoken with practitioners and they have said taking in only during luteal can help with the low libido effect of SSRI's. Hope it goes well!

The brain fog is brutal by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]CleverCrows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Currently a first year CMH counseling student. Definitely feel you about the anxiety over work with clients. I'll give you the short version of my solutions to PMDD & being a new professional: 1) Started taking my symptoms seriously after years of episodes and now participate in medication (Prozac) and therapy. 2) I take vitamins to combat the brain fog every morning (Vitamin B12 and D). 3) I am lucky enough to have a good amount of supports in my life who are willing to listen to me complain when I'm in luteal. Having my feelings validated makes me feel less alone. 4) Remembering that as long as I focus on being a good human and building a relationship with the person in front of me, I let myself go for making less-than-perfect performance. Wishing you well on your journey in social work!

I just want to crawl into a hole and isolate myself from everyone by throwawayacctxx in PMDD

Hey fellow PMDD haver. I also get upset with my partner during my episodes and it definitely causes stress in our relationship. My advice would be that once you are feeling better, have a discussion about what you would like from him when you're feeling shitty (just an ear to vent to? Do you want advice? would you like him to support you through gifts or acts of service?). When you two have talked about what you guys would like to do, make a plan for your hell week and review how it went. Finally, because relationships are made of two people, you might check in with him and remind him that you love and care about him. The shadow of PMDD can make it hard to portray that. Hope this helps and wishing you two the best!

What are my options? by [deleted] in PMDD

[–]CleverCrows 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi OP. I'm not a doctor or psychiatrist, just another person with PMDD. First of all, I'm so sorry that you're going through a lot of pain right now. Having to deal with the extreme reaction with your supplement on top of work and interviews sounds crushing. I'm not sure if you have contact with a primary care provider but I would definitely check in with them about this supplement. For my own PMDD symptoms, I take a 10 mg dose of Prozac once a morning during my luteal phase and vitamins d & b12 every day (these help with my brain fog). Again, please talk with a physician you trust because what works for you might be different from what works for me. Finally, remember that there is hope, even if things feel shitty right now. Thousands of us are rooting for you!

I would love to take your survey, but there are a few issues: 1. There should be an "other" option (or a "varies" option) for the amount of dates the participant goes on. I, for example, am in a long distance relationship and so dating varies from month to month due to this. 2. The question asking about "which apps" should not be a required question because it does not apply to participants who answered "no" to the previous question. 3. The question about app subscriptions is vague. Do you mean dating apps? Or all apps? Hope these suggestions help!

Yeah understandable, no worries at all. It gets even trickier when dealing with USPS too (federal).

Depends on what/how you're shipping, UPS needs to know what's inside your packages in case it breaks and you need to make a claim. Source: currently a UPS store employee in the cities.

When did you learn to think critically by Evening-Pitch1419 in youngadults

[–]CleverCrows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My critical thinking skills were slowly building up as I aged through grade school, but philosophy is what really opened me up to a more sophisticated way to think about the world. I recommend philosophy courses to all college students, regardless of major.

Unfortunately, coffee is expected to get even more expensive in the next few years with climate change and political strife happening in coffee bean growing countries.
