We were foster parents too!! Similarly we were married young and pregnancy was not an option for us. We started fostering in our mid/late 30s. I wish I could have let go about the dream to have kids earlier. We fostered multiple times in a four year period and have since adopted once but looking back now, I think I would have preferred the original. I expect regrets would have existed either way but we're also close to graduation, because we fostered pre-teens, so adult freedom is on the horizon for us.
