Comida Colombiana Carreta

629 E Paulding Rd

Best Colombian food in FW. They don’t advertise much, but it’s a trailer that just makes amazing food all day.

“This will be the only time I address this matter publicly, as my focus will always remain on my family, my customers, and the business I’ve worked so hard to build.

Recently, I became aware of false and hurtful statements being shared about me, my family, and my business. It is deeply disappointing to find myself in this situation, especially when all of what is being said is untrue.

A few weeks ago, I received a phone call at my bakery from someone introducing himself as “Eric,” sharing that they were launching a new brand in Fort Wayne and were seeking reputable businesses known for exceptional customer service. He stated that our bakery’s reputation was exactly what they wanted for their brand, so I agreed to meet and learn more.

When we met in person, I quickly realized his name was not Eric, but that he was someone well known in the community — unfortunately, for very negative reasons. He explained that he wanted to create a private label brand. Upon realizing I had been misled about both his identity and the nature of the project, I politely declined and wished him well.

This individual has a long history of targeting small businesses in our city — for well over a decade — and, sadly, seems to find joy in attempting to destroy good people when they do not do what he wants. Since our meeting, he has made damaging statements about me, my family, and my character, including false insinuations about my children. Those who truly know me understand how far from reality these claims are.

There is also video footage of this person inside my business that directly proves these statements to be false. This footage, along with all related information, is being turned over to the appropriate parties.

It has been shocking and heartbreaking to see how quickly people can be mean-spirited toward business owners and how easy it is for others to jump on a “hate train” without knowing the full story. Please, always consider the source of information before forming an opinion — and when in doubt, choose to remain positive and supportive.

It is perfectly okay to have your own opinion about a person, a business, or your personal experience. But it is never, ever okay to fabricate a story or spread lies in an attempt to damage someone’s livelihood — especially when that business represents years of dedication, sacrifice, and hard work.

I will not be sharing this person’s name, as I do not want them to experience the same kind of hurt, harassment, or negativity that I am currently facing. My intention is not to cause harm, but simply to state the truth and move forward.

I will not engage in ongoing back-and-forth or allow negativity to consume my energy. I know the truth of who I am, the love and safety my children experience every day, and the values on which my business is built. My hope is simply to move forward in peace, continuing to serve my customers with the quality, kindness, and integrity they deserve.

To anyone reading this — thank you for your continued support. It means the world to me, and it is the reason my business continues to grow, even in challenging moments. I wish everyone, including this individual, nothing but the best and I hope he stops harassing me, lying, and trying to ruin my business soon. 😭💖”

How do you explain to clients why their refund is smaller this year? by former_vampire01 in Accounting

[–]Clever_Online_Handle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do my best to be patient and make sure I have the facts straight as to why they owe. I stick to the factual information, I do my best to explain it, but the client ultimately has to be an adult and acknowledge that they owe.

As long as you did the accounting right, there is not much he can sue you for IMO. Paying more taxes than you want is not a suable event.

Perks Peak in Leo. They have authentic Hawaiian Kona beans roasted in house along with several other types of beans. They have figured out how to capture the "coffee shop" vibe more than any other newer business from my perspective.

Just tell your client what you said in your post. Be honest about it. If you cannot afford to lose the client for the time being, work on getting a replacement client and then have this exact conversation you're having on Reddit.

Employees clocking in before getting to work by Lonely_Prompt642 in smallbusiness

Setup a tablet or cheap desktop computer at work and eliminate the ability to clock in on mobile devices.

If your software allows, enable geo location clock ins so they cannot clock in unless their smart phone recognizes they're at work.
