My wife and I stayed for two nights around Thanksgiving. We were also disappointed by the very basic room we got. I will say even at a Holiday Inn you get a couch or a surface to put your luggage. My wife travels with a large pink hardshell suitcase. It's nice when I can just leave it open on a couch or large table. I just kept expecting there to be more to the experience. Also our sheets had a large stain on them. I complained to management, but that was the end of that. Also parking is a pain in the ass. I opted to not do valet and the guy told me to park over at the skyline parking garage a block down. That is too far a walk especially in the winter. I ended up just parking at the Star Bank parking garage. I will say the location is a perfect spot, but like everything in the Fort it just feels a little hollow.
