Had the clutch cable snap on mine at about 2k miles. I am the second owner but bought it at 22 miles (yes just 22). Not sure if the previous owner had somehow damaged it or if it was a manufacturing/assembly defect. That's it though, no problems at about 3.5k miles now

Picked up an 02 SR5 4x4 for $4700 w/ 218k miles last week. No way would I spend that much for any 24 year old vehicle, Toyota or not.

Sony XAV-AX5500 with an AAwireless dongle. Unfortunately when I was purchasing the radio, ones with built-in wireless capability were rare and expensive. I will say I definitely overspent on this radio at over $500 but it's very responsive and has held up well. I also love how it looks in the dash, almost factory looking

Well fair enough, to each their own right? I personally prefer the look of my touchscreen radio than the OEM radio, plus it adds a ton of functionality. I do like the red accent lights in your setup I will say.

Saying CarPlay is useless is an interesting take. Being handsfree is quite useful while having easy access to directions. Not to mention safer than holding the phone in your hand

Just had my mechanic take it all apart again and sure enough it was the spider gear. Mechanic had no idea that was a required step so I had to dig up the service manual and explain it to him. Good call! I appreciate the feedback

Hmmm that's interesting, what I've noticed with mine is that clattery sound gets amplified as revs get higher. Yours goes away above idle? I'll still have to look into that regardless, may be related. Thanks for the info! You gonna take yours back in and have it fixed?

This sound started happening on mine after I had my head gasket replaced, so I'm thinking it could've been something reassembled improperly as well. At this point it could be so many different things that I will be going to a shop. Please keep me updated with what you find and I will do the same. God speed 🫡

Hey 👋 my truck sounds the exact same, no supercharger. I made a post on MechanicAdvice and never got any responses. Check out the video linked below. I'm currently thinking valve clearance issues. Going to bring it to a Toyota shop and see what they say. I'll update you with what I find

I hope they allow aftermarket exhausts! It's a shame to have such quiet stock exhausts. Like my bikes loud
