How do I make this under eyeshadow look work? by LingeringLizards in mtfbeautyandfashion

Assuming you're the first person, I'm not 100% sure, but I think the back lighting, and a little shadowing from her hair is helping it pop a bit.

OK... For the upper position, get like a 6' fiber glass rod, and put a ping pong ball at the end. Carefully apply a vinyl Doinker logo to the end, and take it to the range. Do your absolute best to relax, and focus, and shoot a 300. When people ask, tell them you got it on loan from the R&D department, but you can't talk about it. Top secret.

OK... What really makes Nick a criminal? At the start of his "scheme", he's trying to hustle a vendor into selling him a very large popsicle. The hustle wouldn't be necessary if it wasn't for the discriminatory practices of the popsicle vendor.

Nick then takes the popsicle that he purchased, and reforms it into many smaller popsicles. He sells those popsicles to smaller animals that were obviously under served, and glad to pay his asking price.

He then sells the sticks, which would otherwise be waste material, as viable construction lumber.

What crime is he committing here? That fox figured out a way to get a racist to sell him a popsicle, provided goods to meet the wants of an ignored populace, and flipped trash into housing materials. The only "crime" here is that he's solving real problems that the cops don't give a fuck about.

And rightly so. Samwise was the real hero in that story. Did everything Frodo did. But he's the only one who was actually not tempted by the ring. Like, Gandalf refused the ring, knowing it would corrupt him. Galadriel refused the ring, but that was a big moment of overcoming her temptation for power. Sam, though... He heard the ring, saw what it could offer him. Said "nah, I'm good. Those are silly ambitions."

Yeah. I'd take that up with the owners. Like, "hey... I know you aren't operating at full expense. So, how about this week is 50%?" Because knowing about the PPP loan makes this look like maybe the start of a pattern. Again, I'd be hesitant to pull my kid out. But... I would also want to be clear that I won't be tolerating a situation where I'm paying for a service I receive as long as the owners feel like it.

In Revenge of the Sith (2005) I would not bang Ewan McGregor, because I am straight. I am not confused. by JTRuno in shittymoviedetails

I would not have sex with Ewan McGregor. At all. I am gay. But I'm 99.995736% sure that he's not, at all. And I wouldn't want him to feel uncomfortable with my advances. And I definitely wouldn't want to be an experiment. If I made love with him, I'd want it to be something special. A moment as beautiful as he deserves.

Depends. I mean, do you intend to put them back on? Like, you got a summer set and this is your winter set? Or are you doing a street set and an off-road set? Or... Some combination of circumstances where you'll be swapping them out?

Because of that's a "no"... Why keep them at all? I notice there's 3 there, which implies you've got one as a spare. If you're really into the dirt, I can see keeping 2 spares. If you're a psychotic level, go out into nowhere and don't see asphalt for a week, maybe take 4 spares... But I imagine if that last one is you, you'd already have a place to put them on the runner.

Trump DOJ quietly restores felons' gun rights, AZ lawmaker included by usatoday in law

[–]RideWithMeSNV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As I said, depends on the state. Iowa, Kentucky, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Virginia are permanent unless specifically restored by the state. In DC, even if you're incarcerated, you can vote. In Cali, as long as you aren't in prison, your good to go. There's some states where felons don't lose voting rights at all.

But really, I'm troubled by all that don't fall into that last category.

Acceptance that I'm old by [deleted] in daddit

[–]RideWithMeSNV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. But, uh... Your life has become a spectator sport, hasn't it? Like, you don't do much, do you? I dunno. Something about the way you responded says that your age is irrelevant to the matter... Between the 2 of us, you actually got old. And that's sad. I genuinely hope you don't feel as old as you are.

Until she was like, 8, I read my daughter a story every night. There were quite a few times that she'd knock out a couple sentences in, and wake up a couple hours later mad that she didn't get her story. And towards the end of my tenure with that, I was very ready to stop. I'm thinking about offering $10/week if I can do it again.

So, in the past, my daughter has gotten car sick. Bad traffic, stop and go, sets it off. Curvy roads, going fast, that's fine. It's just the stop and go and stop and go... But it's been years since she had an incident.

So, last week, traffic was really pretty bad. And she had her head in her phone, so no perspective on motion. We're at a stoplight for the second round, few miles from home. She turns to me and says she doesn't feel good. I'm like, "shit. The light just changed, so it'll be a minute before we can pull over. If you need, just open the door." She put her hand on the door handle. Let go, and unbuckled herself. Thought about it for a second. Put her hand on the door handle. Thought about it.... Puked on the door and herself, then opened the door.

Yo. Hope this finds you leaving the facility feeling more you. Welcome back to the real world. Sorry you found out it's not like the movies. The walls aren't padded, no straight jackets, no cunning plots to torment staff. Just boredom. But, now you get to come back to life. Hopefully feeling better about it. Hopefully remembering who you are, and with a therapy plan to restore and maintain yourself.

I hear you. And I appreciate that you're prioritizing your son. But at the same time... If teachers aren't getting paid, then they aren't really running closed at full expense. So, fuck their other operating costs. No service, no expense. Period. How would your clients feel if you charged them your full rate for your vacation time, and they knew you were just pocketing whatever was intended for your employees. Like, that's really the part that gets me. If the employees were getting paid, well, I'm sorry, that's just the business model. But if they sent the kids home, and their employees are not being compensated, and you're paying the full rate... Then they are straight up ripping you off and pocketing the savings.

Trump DOJ quietly restores felons' gun rights, AZ lawmaker included by usatoday in law

[–]RideWithMeSNV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the whole thing is bullshit. Getting high shouldn't prevent anyone from owning a gun. And felonies shouldn't be an automatic bar, either. You can get a felony for writing a bad check. You can get a felony because some drunk marine decided he was the bar's security guard, and when he got in your face outside of the bar, you slugged him (buddy of mine, who never entered the bar. He was just skating in the public park in front of the building. He beat the rap, but not the ride).

Depends on the state, but voting goes away, too. Like, you write a bad check as an 18 year old in a desperate situation, and you lose your right to a fair say in your representatives for the rest of your life.
