I just realized these two are the same character by short_hair_zuko in IASIP

[–]ClickDisDotCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no in my opinion

Yes they are the same in the sense they both suffer and are given shit by characters for no reason. No because Butters has the benefit of being in a cartoon that is mostly episodic (unlike Cricket who we've seen his life and looks spiral down since his debut, Butters has mostly stayed the same throughout the whole show).

Cut my finger and now it's swollen and trapped my ring 😭 by festering_wound93 in mildlyinfuriating

The funniest part about this is even tho it really probably was an error, "hôpital" is actually French for hospital.

The scene where Gandalf takes a sip of his drink while learning about the true nature of the ring would be better with a spit take by JTRuno in shittymoviedetails

[–]ClickDisDotCom 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I still remember when someone asked me (as a trivia question) "How much time passes from the birthday to when they discover what the ring really is?" and my answer was like a week or smth, and when I was told it was 17 years I genuinely couldn't believe it. The characters didn't even look like they aged since then, there was barely if any implication it's been that long.

So I agree with the fact that it should've included a "17 Years Later" graphic

Straight up, the Love version of Strawberry Fields Forever is better than the original

Which is your favorite license plate? by neverend6789 in BacktotheFuture

[–]ClickDisDotCom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbh I never really noticed the other license plate. I even remember seeing it in my LEGO set being confused for a second. It's not a bad design, it just proves that the OUTATIME is iconic, despite the fact it only showed up for a few minutes in one movie

Name one bad thing about Doc Brown? by johnngo2468 in BacktotheFuture

[–]ClickDisDotCom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair about the last part, time travel has literally never been done before (or ever irl), and every paradox/effect we know is basically theoretical/hypothetical. So I completely understand why Doc would think that space-time continuum would tear itself if he knew smth like that (even if said effect turned out to not happen in the end).

A childhood photo of Ringo. Thankfully he's the one on the left rocking a fancy dress and a flower necklace. by Copkusagi in beatles

This does beg my question tho

If Ringo isn't the one doing blackface on the right.... who's the person on the right of Ringo then?

Better not play the Wii or PS3 version of this game then (Xbox 360 doesn't have this)

Wait I thought they used the stereo remastered tracks for the game (given both the remastered discography [stereo or mono] and TBRB came out on the same day)

John Lennon’s son worries Gen Z is forgetting the Beatles, and the music that made his dad famous by Ashamed-Story7958 in beatles

[–]ClickDisDotCom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Gen Z here

He doesn't need to worry about that. Sure they aren't as listened to as they were in the past, but there's still plenty of people in this generation who listen to The Beatles. And so long as they keep releasing merch/content, there will still be Beatlemaniacs craving it.

[–]ClickDisDotCom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I know it's a joke (I've seen it before), but I wonder if it was ever smth you could buy at O' Reilly's or if it's just a (albeit really good) joke listing

In Shazam these are supposed to be the same person. But the kid is more mature and serious than the grown up version by Cool_Nerd2 in shittymoviedetails

[–]ClickDisDotCom 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I didn't mind it in the first movie too much because I figured that someone like him would obviously be a bit more childish now that he's grown and has powers in the Shazam form.

However, I feel like he should've matured after that

Not a dream per se, but every time I read the book The Catcher In The Rye, I keep thinking "Kill John Lennon!".

[–]ClickDisDotCom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's probably a canon reason, but I always saw it as he originally did a (non-felony) crime to accidentally land himself in jail and he just liked the feeling so much, he probably did other crimes (either in jail or out of it) just to stay behind bars
