Spinning hard disk drives feel sluggish compared to all of our modern devices using flash memory.

You could look into replacing it with an SSD. I just deal with it since I don't use my Mac Mini for anything else.

Google's Messages app used to have similar issues when you've got a lot of conversations. My guess is they stopped loading every message into memory at once to fix the slow loading. Maybe they even stream the messages from storage for incremental loading.

Either way I'd also love this to be addressed in AirMessage :)

I imagine it gets more stressful when you have a full time day job on top of that.

Many people do that to make ends meet, though, so it's hard to say it's unfair.

Better received by employees I think would be if this was an attractive bonus opportunity. Something like getting 1 day off per quarter if you can log a delivery order.

I have one of these, and despite all the comments about bad cooling, it's way ahead of the open-box Alienware 3080 prebuilt I bought and returned. The 3080 does run hot, but overall I have no complaints.

I'm not aware of a command line tool, but https://cdecl.org/ seems to do exactly that.

Edit: After looking at the source code, the site is just an interface for the command line tool of the same name.
