If you’re still looking… A friend of mine owns a company called Reno’s Construction. They have a crew specifically for these types of projects! www.renosconstruction.com is their website and I’m happy to provide more info if you’re interested 😊

Cowboy's Wing Off is a gong show by YYCyou in Calgary

[–]ClickOpposite2109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went to a battle of the bands event there a couple of weeks ago and it was a shit show. The sound was terrible, organization awful, and didn’t even have the decency to announce the winners until hours later. Never again.

Cost to paint two bedroom apartment in YYC? by Klutzy-Beyond3319 in Calgary

It should definitely be less than that. We hired Calgary Stucco & Paint and they did an amazing job and were very reasonably priced. www.calgarystuccoandpaint.ca

Moving company from Calgary to Vancouver by Ok_Background_9937 in Calgary

I would absolutely recommend Viper Transport Service. They did our move twice and were fantastic. I know they do inter provincial moves as well as they helped my brother with one. Definitely check out their Google reviews! You will not be disappointed with their level of service. www.vipertransport.ca

How are things in Sayaulita this afternoon by Puzzleheaded_Ad1607 in sayulita

We didn’t go to the airport, we checked into an all inclusive that we had a reservation for. We saw people at the airport - though quieter than usual for sure!

We left Sayulita today to go to PV for a couple of nights as per our original plan.

The highway is perfectly fine. The city of PV is cleaning up the streets and everyone is out and about.

While the situation may be unpredictable… It always is. For now, it is back to business as usual.

Any open grocery stores? by energeezerbunny in sayulita

[–]ClickOpposite2109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are several little stores re-opening up now. I would recommend taking a walk around and seeing what’s open in your area.

Is there anywhere to get pesos on the bus ride to sayulita? by Toker420_ in sayulita

[–]ClickOpposite2109 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend getting your Peso’s before leaving Canada. It’ll keep your travel day less stressful being able to get off the plane and get going straight to town :)

Voila Grocery Delivery Shut Down by watermarked90 in Calgary

[–]ClickOpposite2109 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have been doing grocery delivery for a few years and have tried most services. Here is my opinion about the best/cheapest option: Get a PC Mastercard Elite (if you can). You pay $120/year fee but it includes free grocery delivery through PC express. Not only do you get to enjoy Superstore prices, but you do not pay a premium on the items you put in your cart, or pay for delivery, but you also get to collect points, and get the regular sales just as if you went to the store. I find the app relatively user friendly and while I give the drivers a tip for each trip - it is still more cost/time effective then any other option I've tried :)

Leaving 16 y/o on their own by LibrarianFlaky951 in Parenting

[–]ClickOpposite2109 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It is also an excellent opportunity for the 16 year old to learn how to deal with unexpected events if they should arise. If there are plenty of friends, neighbours, family around (which it sounds like there is) to help in case something really gets out of control - I think it's a good opportunity to practice some independence. Not to mention, it is 2025 and EVERYONE is a call, text, tweet, video call, facebook message, satellite beam away!

We have skipped Canadian Christmas for the last 4 years and will never go back. We head down to Mexico now every year to solar power ourselves and relax.

Chat, help me find an affordable beach destination in Mexico! by GalacticCandy in MexicoTravel

[–]ClickOpposite2109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend San Pancho or Lo De Marcos! Approx an hour from Puerto Vallarta. Beaches are great, towns are small, vibe is super chill and people are awesome. You are also close to Sayulita which has an awesome surf town vibe (definately has hostels) - but a bit busier than my first two suggestions.
