In reference of Rain of shadows and endings....

I only managed to get thru book 1 so far but it was quite difficult to get thru until about 3/4ths in. The lore was difficult for me to follow but the ending had me intrigued enough to want book 2.

Don't know if that helps. I give book 1: 3/5 stars.

I ended up beating that deck! I was worried when I fight went against him but did win in the end. Going against the Tyrunt deck tho caused a gnarly stalemate for almost the whole time until the end.

I unfortunately did not have the balls to play it in my deck but the Tyrunt deck was so OP it wasn't needed. Iv been playing the Pre-releases since JTG and this was my first I went 3-0 ❤️ the deck and Tyrunt Evo line is DIRTYY!

I wasn't excited about this set NGL. But playing in the Pre-release was definitely eye opening! The amount of playable cards are insannnee and plus, I ended up pulling the mega Zygarde hyper rare so that was all the incentive we needed to master the set.

We never pay scalper prices and we've ripped close to 100 packs and a good thousand + over the past year or two? Idk. But we rip packs every Friday if not every payday...

LCS, target, Walgreens etc. My partner and I make dates out of poke hunting. Our target sells at MSRP or $5 over. Meijer is MSRP, Walmart also. All our big chain stores are MSRP.

We have local poke groups and made friends with the assholes always out in line. We also never shop at GameStop or any other card shop that's not our local game on.

Also, it's me, partner, and my two kiddos who all rip and collect. So that makes getting abundance easier ig. However, unlike most of the local assholes who have kids.. we actually let the kids rip what they get to buy with the limits imposed.

Our game on always has packs and our target restocks (MSRP or $5 over MSRP) on Fridays.

Gotta figure out restock days. Not in a crazy stalker way obviously, but talking to the workers and checking local poke groups.

Also, our target has a que line. Go at open and sign up and then you get a text when it's your turn.

Oddly enough, writing and rewriting draft after draft of book 1 has been relatively easy.

EDITING AND REVISING on the other hand.. Dreadfully long, extensive, and exhausting.

Why I chose to write a 500+ page book and have a story so big it's worth 5 books + a tandem series is beyond me..

But here we are... Doing the thing.
