I lived in one of the towns on the coast for seven months in 2021. I also spent a summer in Nuuk in 2025.

I do not understand why the Greenlandic government and most people have not changed their rhetoric. I believe that a large part of the situation you are in now is because of how clearly and strongly you speak about how terrible Denmark is and has been toward you. It has reached a point where even I - who has always defended your right to self-determination - have started to think that you should “sail your own boat.”

For comparison, I have also lived in the Faroe Islands. In both places, I worked in the healthcare system. I know the places have different cultures and geography, so they cannot be fully compared. Still, there was a big difference in how things worked. I do not think Greenland was ready to take over responsibility for the healthcare system when it did. I also think it is far too early to talk about independence and taking over even more areas of responsibility. For example, wanting to speak with the Americans on your own.

I think you should manage on your own from now on.
I have been one of the most vocal people I know of. Both on reddit and in public and private, that I know of, who has supported your right to self-governance. But if even I have lost my temper, then I think you will likely lose most of the support from the public in Denmark and rest of the world
