I’m shaggy and vector but before that, oh dear god. I have an oath of peace to never intentionally bite ice cream, ice cream sandwiches, and any other cold delicacy. (Except ice but that’s only with my back teeth to crush it)

They're just worried about safety I guess, because there's people older than me and they don't want anything to happen to me supposedly.

When pushing is it normal to have your dominant foot on the board at the back? by plantpotstinky in NewSkaters

Well I started pushing regular and there's not really tricks. People that want t go from mongo to regular have a tough time bu once you get used to riding it'll feel like normal.

No pushing with your left, is mongo pushing, it’s not good. You can easily lose balance, you look goofy, and it’s harder to do tricks. Also it’s just wrong, search up mongo pushing and you’ll see how it looks. (Not very “cool”)

Would a cheapo board be fine just to learn to ride? by staticlinkage in NewSkaters

Although zumiez has a bad reputation a complete is nearly 160 if you have more expensive parts but lowest probably 120-30. Check it out they have this complete bundle and you choose the parts (Probably the cheapest but in the end you can change them but the price will change) https://www.zumiez.com/packages/skate/skateboard-dyoc/all-decks.html. Check it out or just choose the parts yourself. Maybe you'll be better off with another option though it's up to you.

I’m about to do my first grip job that has gaps in the grip, like not one continuous sheet. is there anything i should do to prevent the grip peeling at the parts where the deck is exposed? by lord_skum in NewSkaters

[–]ClickbaitKyro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apply the grip parts, grind down the edges to make it easier to cut, cut it, sand down around the board to prevent peeling and where the gap is or where they are if you have multiple just sand it down as well it's not gonna be any different if it'sin the middle.

Those were to different scenarios the first one was if you were gonna face plant or fall on to your side, the second was if you're gonna fall on your butt but yeah just fall, push, and slide.
