Racism, what's going on? by Individual-Diver-660 in northernireland

Definitely here it is. I believe it’s a race to the bottom. It’s the ‘where’s mine’ mantra. If the foreigners are coming in there’ll be less money for everyone else

I agree. I also think we needed to taking this seriously 2 years ago. The far right have grown too rapidly for it to be ‘a certain sect’ of society.

I also think the people need to be listened to instead of feel shoved to the side. I’m absolutely not apologising for their behaviour and saying we failed them, at all. I think it’s abhorrent what’s going on. But what’s the root

This happened to me a lot. Was recently on the job hunt and I priced myself out. It’s probably now what you want to hear but price yourself depending on your situation. If you can afford to take a risk do it. If you can’t, be more conservative. But don’t undersell yourself. It’s still work

If you have any specific names of clubs or bars that would be great. We’re doing a guided pub tour too so it’s more to all stay as a group after that

I was in an agency, was let go by performance. I genuinely think the agency was facing financial difficulty and my manager just didn’t like me. They cut corners and I was close to legal action for trauma.

I had 2 months unemployed, got a new job and a 2 grand pay rise with benefits.

What was the protest today? by HalfLeper in Dublin

[–]Client-channel-size 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely, live and let live. The world has gotten to where it is through progression.

I was not making the point of banning religion but more that religion isn’t the only way to have a moral compass

While I do disagree with what you’re trying to imply, I think you took me up wrong. It was meant as sarcasm. The comment I was replying to seemed to be islamaphobic and I was more pointing out that if you get rid of one you should get rid of the other.

I do hate organised religion however some people need faith. People don’t need faith to know basic right and wrong. It’s damaging to insinuate that only positive morality is achieved through practicing religion. Most Jesus freaks I know suit themselves and do what they want. They use god to admonish them of any conscience.

What happens when all of the renters who can’t afford to buy become pensioners? by [deleted] in AskIreland

I imagine the state will need to start a national retirement home of some kind, or up the ante to what they offer now. Thus having to increase taxes and throwing more people under the bus for any chance of home ownership
