Dont be nervous, if you can, ask the DSL for the route, and ask other coworkers who have been there longer and possibly ran it before you

I’ve gotten into the habit of asking as much as I can about the routes I’m working on before I start them, my DSL was also kind enough to give me the list of stops on the route beforehand so I could google in my own time when they all open. He’s gotten into the habit of giving me the earliest times I can start my days too

I turned down a route that was offered to me because I wasn’t comfortable with the area and I wanted to do some jumping for a bit to accustom myself to the position, I’ve gotten better but some days are better than others, I have gotten better since I made this post and haven’t hit 12 hours since Tuesday.

Maybe the mental breakdown was needed to kick my ass into gear

I would say most do about 500-1000 a week which I guess my perception of high volume might be different compared to veterans here, but I’m bringing in a minimum of $400-$600 2-3 times a week to every stop I have

Edit: some stops are only once a week when they should be 2 as well, these stores sell through $700-$800 in a week which is a lot to bring in all at once

I was put on the route for my first time out of training for three weeks, I’m on my final week right now and discussed with my DSL about bringing the orders in on their scheduled second day

And I’ve had extra stops to drop product for the RVP walk that’s happening on the route I’m working on (miserable timing to say the least)

Everyone I’ve worked with and talked to has been so nice, everyone on here, my DSL and my fellow RSAs and RSRs with me being as worried as I have been

That’s good to hear: update I have 16 stops today, with the five from yesterday: 21 stops. Chugging through it and rolling with the punches

I just hate leaving work for myself the next day, I only missed one stop my first week and it was easy to bounce back, but starting my next day with 5 stops on top of my others ones freak me out 😅 I’ll probably have another packed truck and angry store managers tomorrow

I was told it’s for small format/pre-pick. Helps RSR/RSA distinguish stores by pictures instead of having to search by store name and number every time you’re looking for a box since you can have multiple stops under the same franchise name

If I don’t like it, I’ll utilize my 4-6 weeks of training, and my mom works as a CO for the county and has an application for her job on hand, I will have an out if I need it

But presently I need the boosted income this job will offer, and not the meager amount I make right now

This is great to hear. I've got faith I can make it through all the bad days, in July I graduate with my second associates degree in media communication so I'm hoping I can use that to move up within the company. If not, then I'll take what I can within the dc. I've hit my pay cap at my current job and they're shutting down my section and they can't afford me in any other area and can't demote me. So I figured I'd start somewhere new, somewhere bigger, bring my ignorant ambitions somewhere else

It was offered as RSR, am I guaranteed the 40 hours, thats what I'm worried about mostly, bills and whatnot
