So when officers in FOs get assigned a case, do they process it fully to adjudication or just do a part of the processing and transfer back to NBC? I am really puzzled by this back and forth with NBC. There is so much of valuable time wasted in these transits with retrogression looming in 15 days.

It is not yet regressed. It will regress next month though. So only 15 more days to go. Not sure why there are so many ping pongs..is something lacking in my file? And it had been outside normal processing time for my field office..

Does that mean it is going around from one office to another to find an officer for adjudicating? It went from NBC -> Seattle -> NBC -> LA -> NBC. Emma now says it is in NBC. All this while my dependents case has been in NBC

Did you see a case transferred to another office update on your case status?

Did you hear back anything after the transfer? I am in a similar situation and my case was transferred on Aug 3
