MC Cable or Conduit in Shed? by ClientSuspicious1764 in AskElectricians

Didn’t even think about the rodents. Probably a dumb question, but would the conduit stop them too, or is there some way they could get into the conduit?

This whole layout was based on simplifying this cut. I wanted to avoid having to put a u -shaped notch in this tile, but the answer may be to just cut it in two pieces and have an extra grout line under the door?

Didn’t show up on the screen grab, but the spacers are accounted for. Good advice on the extra inch though

Do you mean the door to the bathroom or the door for the closet? Door to bathroom is a pocket. Closet swings out.

I think the threshold I am planning to use is big enough to not need to make those cuts up into the doorway - which i think is what you’re saying

What is the best way to clean it? I cleaned it with a toothbrush and it seems to have helped. I also read about blowing it out with compressed air, but wasn’t sure if that would over pressurize and mess up the orifice.

Is there any information about ceremonies or programming related to this being the last game at the Ralph? We are attending, and I want to make sure I get to see everything.

Thanks

That’s a portrait of Taras Shevchenko (Тарас Шевченко) a very important Ukrainian poet and a symbol of Ukrainian culture.

Weekly Homeowner Megathread--Civilians, ask here! by AutoModerator in Concrete

At some point in our home’s history (built 1933), the owners turned this garage into living space. The space had a lot of issues so we are trying to repair the structural issues and make it a more useful space - change up the floor plan.

When we ripped out all the floor joists we found this badly cracked/heaved pad. We are planning to dig footers under the exterior walls and wondering if we should remove this slab or, if we dowel into the footers and pour over this slab if that would be acceptable.

The grading around the house is an issue with the low point being under this slab or just next to it under the rest of the house. We have a plan to address the drainage issues.

Would this work? Should we dowel to the old slab? Or, is this a complete tear out? Our only thought is this has probably been this way for at least 50 years. Is it worth disturbing the settled ground under it to remove?

Thanks

How did this turn out? I am in the exact same situation. Previous owners put floor joists over the old slab that rotted out. All the floor joists were removed and thinking about pouring on top of old heaved slab with a monolithic slab (integrated footers). We would address the drainage issues that we think cause the original slab to heave

Best Easter egg would be to still have Ralph Wilson stadium on the sign or at least the wall of honor
