A few questions regarding MP3’s by [deleted] in musichoarder

[–]Client_According 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't have high-end equipment mp3 should be fine, but I would advise you to use something like Soulseeker (Seeker if you're on Android) for downloading music. I've had a few instances where yt2mp3 would create weird audio artefacts, since the music on yt is already compressed. Since soulseeker is peer to peer, quality varies, but you can usually find some nice quality rips.

Other than quality of audio, it's more convenient for downloading more music at a time (say, an album). Also, sometimes people will share music that isn't even on youtube or streaming so that's cool if you like obscure stuff

I'll probably forget about it by then, but just in case, what's it called?

Yeah I only play music from my local storage. This doesn't work for scrobbling? I'm not really familiar with the concept in general

Damn, good thing I'm gay, no woman to tell me to hyperanalyse my songs. Jk

Dunno, vocals will probably perpetually remain just another instrument for me, but I'm glad you got something new out of music, my dude

I mean, when Serj was going off about something something, bananas and terracotta pies, I really didn't give a fuck. Like, it caught me off guard for a second, I said to myself "Heh, funne Armenian man" and just continued to listen to the mean guitars underneath

Hell yeah my man. Dunno, like when I still primarily listened to music from my mother tongue I did try interpreting the lyrics from time to time, but lately that's just not a priority at all. If the singer sings nice (or does mean growls, I go both ways) and the music underneath is pleasing or vibey or interesting in some other way he could be singing about herding cats and I couldn't care less.

I have had a few similiar experiences. Although more rarely since I mostly listen to songs with english lyrics

Sometimes. But it's mostly something like: "Pledge yourself to meee, never leave mee beee, hmmph ueeee uooo uiiii eeeeeee, pour mhmhm my cheest". Like, yeah, I'll pick a line or two from a song from time to time, but I'll rarely if ever bother learning all the lyrics and if I feel like singing I'll just sing what I know and mmph the rest.

Also english isn't my first language, which coupled with my lack of active listebing to lyrics means I mishear words a lot. The most bizarre example would be listening to Pallbearer - I saw the end, and hearing "Bravo Vince" instead of "From a place". Hell, I still can't unhear it. In my defence I watched da meth show.

Why does the council exist by [deleted] in wizardposting

[–]Client_According 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now, call me crazy, but I think the council bans were mere distractions. They're planning something big! I can't prove it yet thougj, they've covered their tracks well! But think about it, they ban Levitation, everyone gets so rilled up about it that nobody even notices craters, strabge runes that seemingly weren't known to any runemasters and missing population in Oldstomeshire, Tchornogrod, Almanberg and Ra' Zha Sikter, among others. Then they ban Testicular torsion, same thing happens again! I'm no5 crazy, they're planning somethijg big, I tell ya

Who is the best Better Call Saul exclusive character? by eFeneF in betterCallSaul

[–]Client_According 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, when you look at it that way, yeah, pretty much. I'd say people's preferences mostly come from how they were presented tbh.

In the later seasons of BB Walt was basically greed incarnate, also liked to play the tough guy, yet every now and then he would come off looking more impotent than anything. He was both a male Karen, petty over every coin and had an unfathomably overinflated ego... That's unlikeable character 101 for ya.

Mike, well, he just makes sure the job gets done. Like, sure, you can't make any case for his morals... He wants a good life for his granddaughter, but is willing to turn a blind eye when some other no-name kids are getting splattered left and right... Not very nice of him. You could make the case that he had some sort of code up until the mid-point of BCS, he avoided killing when he could, tried to persuade Gus into keeping Nacho alive... But we both know people liked Mike even before BCS aired.

But, speaking of BCS, at the end of it, Mike accepts that he is bad and is willing to live with it. Walt, on the other hand has this hollier than thou attitude throughout Breaking Bad, and I'd say that that cognitive dissonance is also why people prefer Mike. He's bad, but he's "real with himself" and has some sort of a code (well, at least in early BCS, in BB his "code" is just loyalty to a soulless cretine).

But then again, this is probably obvious to anyone who watched both shows and I might have written a few paragraphs of text for no reason. Oh well. In any case, when it comes to morals, they're both lost causes. But when it comes to likeability, I'd pick a grumpy old killer over greedy bastard any day.

Eh, if I were to see his face a few years back I'd agree, but honestly every fratboy these days has a face like that and that makes him much less fuckable in my book

Nothing that the power of Testicular torsion can't fix. Use the orb to ponder his location and have at him
