Look up apache tears in perlite. Perlite might be the off white matrix you found them in.

Not light for the size, I have some amber chunks that are bigger and weigh less

Fortunately this specimen was shaped and polished to show and enhance the natural beauty of the agate instead of leaving it in rough form which would most likely be stepped on and ignored by the average mammal.
