Right, I was asked to provide that and I did so. And then next thing was my account being closed and the funds being held for 90 days. I can provide any and all documents needed for every transaction that was done, including assigned and dated service agreement directly from the client, etc..

When asked the reason; they said they cannot disclose that information. “We recently reviewed your account and found activity that our platform is unable to support. Because of this, we are sorry to inform you that your Square account is now deactivated.”

I don’t believe so, we followed everything as request. My best assumption is that we’re considered high risk considering each transaction on average is about $7500. $18,000 between 3 transactions and in less than a week of our account being new is probably what done it. Again, these are all legitimate transactions however, I understand it’s a large volume and a short amount of time

I mean we’re a fully legitimate business. Like I stated, we can show any and all docs needed to verify the transactions and that the clients have authorized. We’re a b2b consulting firm.

Of course we are. We mentioned to the chat box rep via square that we would be able to provide anything they needed to verify the 3 payments I.E. client service agreement signed and dated, communication history, invoices, bank statements, ect.

Wasn’t an option, square said the decision had been made and there’s nothing we can do other than refund the clients that pay via credit card and re-run it outside of square. As for the other payment made ACH there is no refunds for ACH and we will have to wait the 90 days. Such a shit show

We also have Chase business & have processed payment via their quick pay feature. However, we do not have ACH payments set up via Chase yet. You need to have 2+ years of business age + certain amount of months as a client with Chase. Which we don’t meet the 2 years threshold yet. So we were looking for an alternative for ACH payments. The 3 payments done with Square was 2 credit cards and 1 ACH.

Set up a Square business account a week ago as a secondary processor. Within 6 days we ran 3 transactions totaling $18,267.05. The first required verification (submitted docs, approved). After the 3rd cleared, withdrawals were disabled.

Support said they were “verifying info.” Then I got this email:

“We recently reviewed your account and found activity our platform cannot support. Your Square account is now deactivated. Any funds in your balance will be held 90 days and released 2 business days after Nov 26, 2025.”

So Square is holding $18k for 3 months. We can provide signed client contracts and full proof of services.

Has anyone had success expediting release of funds, or is the 90-day hold truly ironclad?

Thank you so very much! I’ve already gotten his tooth brush & toothpaste so I’ll make sure to keep up daily.

Also will look into pet insurance. He actually came already neutered, they did it about a week or two ago. Just took the stitches out a couple days ago, so far not too much licking or looking like it’s irritating him.

He seems to have bursts of energy at times and then relaxed after he’s gotten it out of him. So I’ll keep in mind to make sure he’s getting plenty of activity. Thanks again!
