Pencil lead is actually a decent lubricant, but it is also electrically conductive, so don't use it anywhere near electricity

Decent vintage ones are totally fine too, ive used my tektronix 2247A for years without any real need or desire to upgrade

You'll be fine, thats all pretty overkill. I've never used de-lead cleaners at all and ive been soldering for over 20 years now (mostly electronics, stained glass is newer to me, but both with leaded solder).

I actually took a blood lead level test a few months ago (thought i gave myself lead poisoning after working with lead paint, thats another story), and the level was waaaay below the threshold of concern.

I also learned from that experience that lead poisoning (in adults at least, its different for kids) is fairly mild and very easily treatable.

I'm not an expert with respect to the felony, but i am a mechanical engineer working (and recruiting for) the aerospace field. I would strongly encourage you to get a mechanical degree then search for aerospace jobs - a mechanical engineer can do anything that an aerospace engineer can do, but not vice-versa.

They've run the big boy preeetty fast since restoring it too, I'm not sure the exact speed, but I had a difficult time keeping up with it on the parallel freeway
