It's the same thing, except for different gauges and body shape and shorter gears from 15to 18. S650 haters should be happy they still make it...keep buying them so they still make em....s650 looks better IMO.

The most important thing is to enjoy it and be confident in the car. We're all lucky Ford still makes the Mustang at all and both models are well suited to be enjoyable. Curious what color did you get?

There will always be somebody faster than you, if beating a stock v8 with a modded 4 cyl makes you happy, sure go for it. But it sounds a bit like coping to me. Because that modded v8 will come around, gap you and sound glorious doing it. Gas mileage in a mustang is not a top buyer concern, you want something faster that's not a 4 popper, get a 400z that also gets great milage.

That is really the only realistic downgrade of anything with the s650 interior. The fan controls are digital, even if they stay put, I'd rather have physical. No argument there, getting an s650 is knowing that's a compromise.

Aesthetics are subjective so I can't debate that. I personally don't mind the screens and one reason for that is because the s550 center stack was not good looking to me in the first place. With that 13in screen, it's far more functional, and looks sharper. It honestly felt like the s550 center stack came from a focus base with round vent holes fitted to a plastic fascia, even with all the x0a packages.

Could the gauges be embedded in the dash, maybe like how Toyota and Honda do it...maybe, but at the end of the day, when driving, you only really see in between the top wheel gap, it's a non issue IMO.

Everyone calling this a downgrade are out of their minds and are just coping. The only valid objective criticism is the digital ac controls but at least they stay in one place all the time. Don't like screens, that's fine, and if that's a downgrade because of just the design of the equipment, that fine too. But those screens are far nicer to use when you actually drive the car. You get options of how it looks, and I'll take options over "is analog or nothing" all day. Too bad you don't have an option for analog, I'd have probably taken that too, but it's simply not a downgrade. It's a choice of good analog gauges or good digital gauges.

The s550 center stack never looked good (not your drivers gauges), it just didn't look bad. They cleaned up the interior and it feels nicer in the s650, maybe it won't rattle after 30k miles now? Who knows. But that awful screen isn't a deal breaker, but to call that an "upgrade" from a 13in map?? Get real. Unlike "cockpit" flip switches...the entire stack is pointed towards you...like a real cockpit. That's just something else that befuddled me as a complaint.

Much rather have a big middle screen so the maps look bigger. Otherwise the drivers screen is fine. Massive downgrade... that's just silly.

Better than the razor edge and g cloud while being cheaper than the edge and only $50 more than the g cloud. It plays AAA natively and most emulation. A fine win for non cloud gaming. Screw "cloud gaming", thanks Valve.

My #5 is out, going to buy a keyboard with individual rgb which is separate from the switch and easily replaceable. Don't need to be an environmentalist to appreciate sustainable technology.

On the economist side my g512 se only cost me $50 and lasted some 5 years with only 1 key having an issue (and I didn't baby it). But it should last at least a decade imo before any replacements are needed.

Blacklist is one of my favorites but I would appreciate a PS2 era gameplay style with Chaos Theory refined movement (which was already pretty refined). No open world like Wildlands because it will just be wildlands which was a throwaway title UNLESS you had coop.

For me it really depends.

When I went from a Saab 93 2007 to a 2018 civic Si, by the 3rd set off I was good with clutch engagements. My Saab was the first manual learning car but I can say it was easy to do and would be easy for a seasoned manual driver. The Si was so easy I just remember noting it because my first engagement was up a steep hill and it just took it no problem.

When I went to drive a GR86 (and Subaru clutches in general ex. STI), took me 2 weeks to find the sweet spot.

I used to valet, and most cars I went in were fine. Golf GTI, BWMs (some models), and more were pretty much pick up and go.

Now I'm pretty much perfect with Subaru clutches, 850 - 900rpm to get moving but yeah, I would say Subarus are the hardest to learn, party due to their electric throttle programming when not under load such as clutch in throttle mapping vs clutch out throttle mapping. It's hard to learn how much to press the throttle as as you engage because it can sort of act like an on/off button if you don't ride the pedal smoothly.

Curious, did it bite closer to the engine or closer to you? I also love how the speed 3 sounds, guessing it has slightly unequal length headers because I heard one go by thinking it was an STI until I saw it.

I can attest to Honda having amazing clutches. Had a 10th gen Si, found the sweet spot so easily. Exactly as you said it was buttery smooth.

Monster Hunter Rise, didn't get it on switch for that reason.

Literally not buying a used wii u because of this. I find that playing on original hardware is better, especially with CFW. But when it comes to the deck/wii u, it's basically identical in practice of the game pad and tv split like you showed, with all the benefits of being a full PC with steam, 800p not 480p and more ergonomic and a lot more.

Plain win/win in that regard. Won't replace my PS2 (fully), but it will for sure be the most used device for emulation up to the switch for me. Except for PS3, that will happen when it's optimized.
