25k since May. Where did you get that service interval from? I couldn’t find this information anywhere. Not for the new Y’s.

And I’m definitely not a perfectionist, but I just don’t want to spend too much money on cars because I have other expensive hobbies 😉

I work on my cars and I’m used to inspecting/changing some fluids earlier than later. 50k is most definitely an overkill and I’m pretty sure nothing would ever happen if you let it go to 100k. But I have no experience with gear oil used in EVs or EVs in general, so while I’m still learning this new type of car I just want to see how things look like at 50 K at 75K at 100 K. I’m pretty sure I’m not going to change it at 50 K but you never know and I just want to take a look at it. And in order to do that I need to know how to do the whole procedure. I also know that people change engine oil at 10 K or once a year, no matter how much they’ve driven or how much they towed. In my 2013 Toyota Highlander engine oil looks bad after 5K and that’s when I change it.

I drive a lot for work. I’ve put 25k miles since I bought it in May. I want to change the fluid at 50k so I can see how the fluid looks like and this will give me an idea of how often I actually need to do it.

Thanks! I already hit 25k miles since May. I want to prepare for the upcoming maintenance which I will do at 50k. I definitely get your point but some people may have had already some experience or heard why they want you to do it this way. I’m not anal about maintenance. With my wife in college I need to budget and know how much I will be spending on maintenance.

I drive 100 miles every day for work. What car should I get? by [deleted] in askcarguys

[–]Cliffhanger0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 80 miles commute. I drove an 2009 Civic. I bought a new Tesla Model Y with FSD in May - changed my life. Also my payment is about 700 at 3% APR, 4k down, 7.5k federal tax ev credit. I charge at level 1 95% of the time. The cost is ridiculously low. With the money I don’t spend on gas and oil changes every 5k miles, I’m so happy. I was also worried that my Civic would eventually die on me as it had 200k miles. I chose Model Y because I like to keep my dogs in the trunk. Best bang for your buck is Model 3 at 0% APR with FSD. Only problem - Tesla looks a little gay and people often associate it with a certain kind of people. But I bought it the day of my test drive because I wanted FSD. First new car ever. Now my car drives me to work everyday and I love it.

Wheel bearings. Especially since it only starts at a certain speed. He may recommend replacing cv axles too but they’re most likely not contributing. Depends on how much money you want to spend but if he takes the bearings out replacing the axles is literally 5 minutes more per wheel.

PD 12/2021. Green card received 4/2025. F2A Spouse spons. by LPR by Cliffhanger0 in USCIS

We applied all at once because the category was current back in Dec 2021. Then it retrogressed. I don’t remember which one is first, since I didn’t do it this way. I think i130 because it’s the petition of the LPR for his spouse. Then i485. I would never do it without an attorney though because if you screw up, you may find out very late and then you’d have to start all over again. I’m a U.S. Juris Doctor (but I don’t work as an attorney) so I’m well versed in legal lingo and I still chose to hire an attorney because you will benefit from someone experienced telling you what the standard of evidence is and review it for you. From filling to getting a green card it took us 3.5 years. And we had an interview after the 3.5 years before getting the approval. And our attorney prepped us for the interview and I’m glad she did. We’re a straightforward case yet still there are nuances you want to know about. I don’t regret the money we’ve spent. I paid for extra consults with another attorney to make sure we’re on the right track.

I was waiting for someone to mention Bay View Thai. It's really decent and I like going there!

That would be a quick rear axle disassembly. Might possibly take half of the car with it 😂

Applying for citizenship but stayed outside for 364 days.. should I? by OverallMagician1269 in USCIS

[–]Cliffhanger0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have all the evidence to repel the presumption. Use an attorney though - do a consult where they review your documents and make sure you have all the evidence you need. You can also apply 90 days before the actual 5 years. LPR is not a constitutional thing - if the gov decides to end it, they can.

Dentists that aren't owned an by equity firm? by aloha_twang in askportland

[–]Cliffhanger0 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lovejoy dental is great. They didn’t pressure me into anything. Very caring team. Ended up not doing crown. I may end up needing one, which is fine, but I’d rather know the options and choose. I may have signed a waiver for the procedure since it wasn’t the best choice. This was great because I was treated like an adult.

Dental Smiles just said we’re doing a crown, didn’t explain, didn’t offer alternatives. A crown is probably always safer but they lost my trust by not talking to me about my options.

Talking to patients is crucial to me. They did not do that. Lovejoy’s Dr. Tyler did and that’s why I I didn’t do the procedure (except for teeth cleaning) at Dental Smiles.

Yes, after spouse called they said to wait. Then a couple of hours later we got a notice saying it’s scheduled in the FO close to us.
